Oh yeah, I think I did start tearing up at least when I read A Child Called It. I read it in one sitting too.

I've read Stargirl but I didn't cry and the end. (I felt more like Leo was stupid and didn't appreciate her and yeah...)

I've also read Bridge to Terabithia, but I didn't like it that much. I didn't cry at the end either. Actually, I don't think I've cried after any books...

Really? I liked it a lot. I agree the ending was kind of weird, but I like it because it gave a good message to me.

wasn't that about the only daughter of leah? i know it was a biblical story, about the traditions of mothers and daughters. it was a good book, but it didn't make me cry, i did cry for to kill a mocking bird, *and my mums thrown out the book, grumble*

Oh my goodness! It's only the greatest book EVER! You really should check it out. It's an excellent read.

Really? I liked it a lot. I agree the ending was kind of weird, but I like it because it gave a good message to me.

I was quite upset at the ending of Stargirl, and it was just a book that my little sister had borrowed from the library to read; I doubt she truly got it the way I did. *sniff*

I remember, in Gr. 6, I read the book Anna in Byzantine. I sobbed through most of it, because it was just so painful for me to imagine the pain she had to go through. I won't say it 'cause, you know, spoilers and all that. But then the second time I read it, I think I was anticipating it too much, so it wasn't as strong. Good read if you're a pre-teen though.

Um, back when I was reading Redwall, I remember when Mara the badgermaiden (I think that's her name..??) adoptive father died. And occasionally when one of the more major charactre died. Funnily enough, everybody says they thought the part where Rose died was the saddest... except when I was reading Martin the Warrior, I somehow missed that she'd died (I knew she was thrown against the wall but..).

Hrm. I think I've grown callous and stuff 'cause I don't cry when I read/watch movies now. I used to back when I was a kid, but now I just well up. Except when I watched Troy. I was vaguely familiar with the Illiad, so I <i>knew</i> Hector and Achilles were doomed, etc., which somehow made it more poignant for me.

I've rambled enough, I think. NO WAIT. How could I forget about CEDRIC AND SIRIUS?!! :'(

I've just read a book that actually made me cry so I now have "P.S. I love you..." to add to my list. It's really, really moving.

Blood Brothers didn't make me cry, which i suppose was weird- I've read it and seen it. I guess reading it, as it's a play, made it less likely to upset me.

When I saw it performed it didn't make me cry, although there were many middle aged women with mascara running down their cheeks.

The Amber Spyglass. It's like... when you finish that book, you loved it, but you still throw it up against the wall.
