Hah! Not Tom Riddle. Check the FAQ. I told you she didn't differentiate. Or did I tell the SQ?

I still think it is Hagrid.

This would never happen, but I really want it to be Ron.

Ron is a pure blood, though, so it can't be him.

Thus why it would never happen... I just love Ron.

You are all assuming that by half-blood she's talking about their wizarding blood, perhaps she's speaking of true royalty...

And as a side note, I'd look in the 5th book for clues, if I was looking, probably the chapter where Sirius is going over the tapestry with Harry...

You didn't, the original thread (created by Mark) grew quite large, and so was split by a mod. The mod just happened to choose your post to split it from.

Oh now I understand. I didn't quite understand how a thread was split. Thanks :)

o_O These are all the students at Hogwarts in the second book that have any part in the story.

Gryffindor:
Harry Potter (can't be the half-blood prince)
Colin Creevy
Neville Longbottom (pureblood)
Dean Thomas
Seamus Finnigan
All the Weaslys (purebloods)
Lee Jordan
Oliver Wood

Slytherin:
Goyle (we are assuming he's pureblood)
Crabbe (we are also assuming he is pureblood)
Malfoy (pureblood)

Hufflepuff:
Justin Finch-Fletchley

Teachers:
Binns
Dumbledore
Filch (pureblood)
Flitwick (maybe he's half-elf o_O)
Hagrid (half-giant)
Lockhart
Snape (probably pureblood because he was in Slytherin)

:P It would be funny if Lockhart was the half-blood prince. XD He did play a big part in CoS.

Being in Slytherin doesn't mean you have to be full blood, Tom Riddle was only 1/2, as is Harry Potter. And Tom was a slytherin, and Harry could've been. Oh, and being half of a different species wouldn't nessicarily make you only half-blood because there are many other species with magical abilities.

And I think the book will be really short if Lockhart's the prince.

"Would you like my autograph? They say I'm a prince, how cool is that!.
"Here, watch me do my special spell.
"Well hello there, who are you? Would you like my autograph?"
The End.

Snape calls Lily a mudblood in OotP (when Harry goes into his memory) so we can assume he's a pure blood.
