Is it this?
1918
+24 (Ramirez)
+34 (Ortiz)
+33 (Varitek)
-5 (Garciaparra)
=2004

Isn't that crazy? It really adds up, too!
Last night was unbelievable. I think it was better than if the Sox had just won 6-1. And my man Arroyo pitched really well, too! Bring on the Yankees (or the Twins...)!

I don't know, for some reason I feel like we have to play the Yankees. Like even if we went all the way, if we didn't do it by trampling the Yankees in the ALCS, it wouldn't be complete. We can't let the Twins get the pleasure of stomping out the Yanks.

Yeah that was it. And the game was much more dramatic with Ortiz's homer.

And we should play the Yankees. It wouldn't be as satisfying to us if we didn't get to have revenge against the Yankees. They lead the series 2-1 against the twins.

Edit: Just checked the playoff schedule. If we play the Yankees and sweep them (which I doubt will happen but whatever) we'll end the series at home. If we were to win the series 4-1 then we'd still end the series at home in Boston. That'd be awesome :)

Last nights game was awsome! I was jumping all over the place when Ortiz homered. :D

Yankees won today, so we're facing them in the ALCS. Shame they didn't have to play 5 games, but at least we've got an extra day of rest.

I missed that last three innings last night, but from what I heard it was incredible. I did see it on the website. It brought me tremendous pleasure. Bless Ortiz. Yay for my fellow countrymen!

I'm happy we got his far. The victory would be so much sweeter if we beat the Yankees :D We deserve to win, they don't. So COWBOY UP!

(That's so last year, haha.)

Oooh man... this is going to be one heck of a battle...
BOSTON RED SOX
vs
NEW YORK YANKEES.

Best out of 7...

Who do i root for? The Red Sox who eliminated my precious Angels?
Or... the Yankees...

Well that's obvious. *waves flag* Go Red Sox :)
<hr>
And Great job to Lima for a COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT.
That was amazing. :) Dodgers alive for game 4 :)

The Red Sox deserve the right to destroy the Evil Empire :P

Out of the remaining NL teams, I have no idea who I'd wanna face if we get that far.

It's been reported that Mariano Rivera's cousin-in-law and the cousin's son died on Saturday night. Full story:

I feel so sorry for Rivera's (well really his wife's) family. I mean, of course I still want to beat him on Tuesday, but it's still terrible. My heart goes out to them, even if he is a Yankee. :(

I agree. I don't hate the Yankees as people, only as Yankees. (With the minor exception of A-Rod...)

Speaking of A-Rod, I know that he was Punk'd by Ashton Kutcher once. Someone pretending to be an angry Red Sox fan started yelling at him while he was at a resteraunt. He wouldn't sign the papers to let it be shown on TV though.

Shows you the sense of humor the Yankees have.

*tramples in and drools on everyone's sox sigs* I'm not gonna miss this party here. ;)

Schilling is starting the game threads on SoSH now, and I'll repost his one comment here because his message is a good one. :)

Why not us? There is no reason the last team standing can't be us, you know it, we know it. Now is the time to go out and prove to ourselves, the fans, the game, how good of a team we are. If 25 guys believe that what we are after is the most important thing in their lives for 4 weeks, there is _nothing_ that can't be done.

And I made some wallpaper for everyone to use. :) (Very large file, but it's worth it.) Must get to work on a set for myself...

*edit*
While I'm thinking about it, what should my sig's theme be?

a.) The quote under my current sig

b.) Dropkick Murphys "Tessie" -
We're not here to mess around
Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Red Sox, you are the only, only, only... etc. ^_^

c.) Standells "Dirty Water" - I love that dirty water
Oh, Boston, you're my home...

I have a paper to write before I can get to this. Boo. -.-

I think its the Red Sox's turn at the World Series, or perhaps the Cardinals. They both did good this year and deserve a mention, especially those Cardinals! :D

I think your quote works very well.

Poor nani and broken keys :(

I can't wait for this series though. I'll be so pumped for it, even though both teams are teams i don't exactly like ;)

Ouch. Tough loss for the Sox last night, 10-7 :( Mussina was perfect through 6 till he gave up a double. Schilling was knocked out early too.

They have to win tonight, or else we'll have to play 6 or 7 games to beat them.
