These dudes are Sanctus Real. (Actually, the memebers, well, some, are different now but theres no new pictures yet, so.) They sing songs.. and stuff. I guess you could call them rock? Sorta. They have two albums as of now, self-titled and Fight The Tide. They have a third one coming out this spring.

Songs to check out: Everything About You, Alone, The Fight Song, Deeds, The Show, I'm Not Alright. They've also done a cover of U2's Beautiful Day. But even if you dislike U2 they may appeal to you.

Casting Crowns. I guess (adult?) contemporary something or other. They have some blunt and bold lyrics and tackle some issues such as looking down on and judge others, head on. I won't lie, they are a Christian band, but the song American Dream can relate to a lot of people of any religion, as it talks about being stuck up in work and business and neglecting what matters.

Songs to check out: Voice of Truth, Who Am I, American Dream, If We Are The Body, What If His People Prayed, Praise You In This Storm

Franz Ferdinad: Their new CD is really decent if you like Brit pop/rock.
Songs: "Auf Achse", "Outsiders" "Dark of the Matinee" "Fade Together" Jacqueline"

Snow Patrol: Somebody pleaseeeeeeeee tell me the name of this song from "Final Straw"

"Light up, light up...as if youuuuuuuuuuu had a choice. Even if you can not hear: my voice, I'll be right here dear....."

Please assist.

I thought I knew what song you were talking about, but the one I'm thinking of only has 9 irrelevant, painfully excessive 'u's instead of 10.

Sorry I can't help you out on that one.

Cute Is What We Aim For

They're great. They don't have a CD out, but their music is all over their livejournal community. They just got signed to Fueled By Ramen Records (same record label that currently has bands like Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy working with them and a ton of other amazing bands). On top of having great music they're really friendly guys, too :) Finger Twist and Split, Lyrical Lies, and There Is a Class For This are all some of my favorite songs.

I don't like Snow Patrol, but my mate Adam's band does a cover of that song and I'm pretty sure it's called Run.

Kind of surprised you haven't mentioned Broken Social Scene, what with your set there, Danny Boy.

Ah, much as I love them.

I figured you know, people would just be able to tell. =D

While Im promoting le Canadien, might as well mention K-os, Stars, and Feist.

Ok, Just the whole Arts and Crafts Label in general

I was gonna recommend Feist a few days ago, but I closed the window halfway since I had to leave and have forgotten to do so again since.

Everyone should listen to Feist. Let It Die (the album) is awesome loungy/lo-fi/disco/indescribable stuff, and I can listen to the CD on repeat for hours without getting sick of it. To those who haven't heard of her, I recommend "Mushaboom" and "Inside & Out" to start with.

Aye.

Stars are great.

Jack Johnson

A great songwriter who sings and plays guitar. On his albums, you'll also hear drums and bass. He has 3 major albums: Brushfire Fairytales, On And On, and his latest album, In Between Dreams. If you're looking for some down-to-earth music, definitely check him out! Apparently, he's also been working a lot of music for the up-coming "Curious George" movie!

G. Love and Special Sauce

A great group of 3 guys. They occasionally have guests perform with them, like Jack Johnson. Check out the song "Rodeo Clowns" to hear them together. G. Love and Special Sauce is a group that has been around since the mid-90s. They are kind of a blend of funk, jazz, and old-school rap. I would definitely check out these 2 albums: Yeah It's That Easy and Philadelphonic.
