Classic rock is fantastic. I can't put on the classic rock station on the radio and not sing along with all those great songs. I also like the oldies station, with 50s and 60s music, but that doesn't belong in this topic. My favorites are the Beatles, the Stones, Hendrix, the Who, Skynyrd, Steve Miller Band... I could go on and on.

Then my life is not complete!

I'm afraid I am limited in terms of musical knowledge. I haven't heard of most of these bands listed, and I'm not certain what classic rock sounds like. My musical life revolves around the odd classical piece I play on the piano.

He's the only person to be on both the Country Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Oh well. My dad loves his music so that means that I heard some of it and I found the lyrics to be amusing(not in a bad way) and they were pretty good so yeah I kinda like him.

*Gasp* I never knew there were so many classic rock fans on here! I'm well chuffed now!

I LOVE Metallica, AC/DC, Queen, Led Zeppelin, R.E.M. (yes, they do count!), Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses, Black Sabbath, the list goes on!

I always thought it was supposed to be a cry for more social awareness of the poor and the justice system...

But it is a rollicking good time.

Do they count? I wouldn't have said they do, but if they do, they're at the top of my list. I love 'em. :D

My knowledge of Johnny Cash is due to living with my Mom for 16 years.

Dude, I don't know if I'll ever be able to repay her.

Oh yesh fidds...
[I don't like ALL the stuff of the below, but they feature in my playlist]

Beatles
Stones
Led Zeppelin
Edit: Ha, Amy, look!

Aerosmith
Bob Dylan
Eric Clapton
The Animals
The Who
David Bowie
The Carpenters (they are in the rock encyclopedia, they count)
Queen
Elvis
GNR
The Doors
Jimi Hendrix
Pink Floyd
The Doors
The Beach Boys- YES! Firstly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a bit of Beach boys. Secondly, they also have a rather substantial entry in the rock encyclopedia!

...see, the thing about rock is that people don't realise how much music is actually classified as 'rock'. This rock encyclopedia I keep mentioning was rather enlightning at times. I've seen acts I like in there that I didn't really think of as rock...of course some are hybrids....and on with the list

The Smiths (not much of them, but I like Panic..'hang the DJ, Hang the DJ')
James Brown- he was in that good old encyclopedia! Although I realise he's the Godfather of SOUL..
The Kinks. I can't get over how much I like the Kinks. And people who haven't heard of The Kinks. Everyone's heard The Kinks :P Even if they don't realise it. *natters on about The Kinks*
I dunno if they count, but The Hollies.
I'm gonna shut up now.
