Whats easier for you. Melody or Harmony?

I prefer to play melodies on violin, and I prefer to sing melodies (actually never sung harmony)

I really like the melodies, but being put in an alto in choir makes it hard for me to ever get the melodies. Harmonies are okay sometimes. But I definitely prefer Melodies.

It's usually easier to sing the melody, but I prefer to sing the harmony as that's what I sang all through high school.
