I loved the animation today - particularly how it brought back so many of the previous ones. Very nicely done! (Also, I giggled at the difference in the music as it went on, especially because it was spot on.)

I personally found today's animation really tone-deaf considering what's going on in the world. Maybe that's because I spent Christmas completely alone to keep my loved ones and housemates safe, and while "I'll be home for Christmas" is an appropriate song to denote that situation in the world, the point of the song is that for many of us, it really is "only in our dreams" this year. Them getting to see each other and hug was just - ugh.

Today's AC was a slap in the face to those of us who made the responsible decision to make it "only in our dreams" due to our circumstances.

Neopets is supposed to be an escape from reality, not a cudgel reminding you of its suckiness. I wouldn't have minded the song if they had stayed distant, maybe sent a NM or something... (My state just set a new record high at over 10k new cases on Christmas Eve. The numbers are skyrocketing and everyone else is just living their lives. The more they do that, the longer I can't hug my mom after her surgery back in May - and the more people will die.)

Yeah, I can agree with you on yesterday's animation. California has blown by 2 million cases already, and infections are exponential. Not good at all. Socially distant Christmas. At least I was able to call and talk with my parents are a while. Happy that they have each other and are hunkered down for the duration.
