Hi everyone - sorry to jump you back a little, but I have been out of town. I have been reading, and reading, and reading... and I can't find it.
Is there a method to the aprox every 8 hours for light? Do I need to try every 10 minutes, or is there a better way to figure it out?

It's once an hour for 8 hours straight. Or you can get tricky and figure out the cycle times so you can check each hour of the cycle at some point, but not all in a row.

i know that the light goes on evry 8 hours but wat are those times exactly on NST and how long does the light last for?

After you get the 2nd crystal w/ the 2nd set of lights, it says to cross out any symbols that (a) are blank or (b) have not changed. What it says any that "have not changed," does that mean if my first set of scrolls to read included a yellow set and I get another yellow set from the 2nd crystal, I don't have to read that one??

try this place for a good explaination.
But in short, you dont want to use the ones with the blanks or the ones that are the same color as they were the first time.

The lights come on 3 times a day, in 8 hour intervals for everyone, at the top of the hour.
The exact time is individual to each user. If you do not know one of your times, I suggest you just try refreshing at the top of any hour you can.

Cilian noted: You need light if you're going for 3rd, you don't if you're going for 4th.

I'm going for 4th. So I should now try random combination of colours in order to get my withe scrolls locations... TNT hates us...

It's wayyyy past my bedtime (have to work in morning) and it took me 4 hours to get all the scrolls read to get the 3rd crystal. Thank the Goddess I was able to get to the model room to see the next set of lights in time.
Too tired to go on. Will continue in morning. Thinking the 4th crystal is the last one we get.
As an add-in, TNT is sure cruel with this plot. Anyone with dial-up is not going to complete this as you see how long it took me on cable internet. Bleck, have to use dial-up at work tomorrow but at least I have the Repository floors memorized...lol.
