Lost Desert Plot Discussion #25 (split)

here's a bit of speculation for you all to ponder:

al that's left in the lost desert is swarm, scarab 21, sutek's tomb, pyramids, and coltzan's shrine. what do all five of these have in common?

scarabs.

Something to look at, but also -
1) They weren't part of the city.
2) They're games... if I were Neopets I would try to limit the amount of games and dailies I took away.

Wouldn't be something I would look too far into, but strange altogether

but why would they take away the fruit machine, and not the shrine? also, there's no reason why they couldn't take the game links off the map but still keep them accessible via the games page.

i think we got piled with scarabs for a reason. but then again maybe not. worth a think, though.

There's a new lost desert game; word pyramid. No scarabs in it. It's not on the map yet.

Also, in my opinion the scarabs thing was just a joke, something for us to get all exited about. Since the prophecy has come true with the release of part five, I think the Nuria statue is now just a dead end. I think the libraries are the thing to focus on in the temple. But then again, that's just me

Perhaps she had a second suitor whom she said YES to? And now they're going to join the Lupe and Ixi to hunt down Jasan? Well, it's a possibility... XD I just wish neopets let her at least finish... (or mabey they didn't for a reason? >>)

My thoughts exactly, and I think it has something to do with that fat bearded king, possibly Hagan. After all, we've found clues all over Neopia up till now, not just in the lost desert.

Good idea. Meridell and the surroundings are always ready for a war.

PS: Maybe Amira isn't after a 'fat, bearded king,' but after a dashing Lupe knight.

i played the two card games, but nothing happened except i won a few neopoints and had a lot of fun. i did buy a few scarab items though, to be on the safe side. scarab cookies are cheap, and i bought a scarab ring, which seems to be an excellent weapon so i might have bought it anyway.

Kelpbeard was my first thought too, until I remembered Hagan. Does Amira even know that Tomos exists? Sure they can do some sappy instant love thing later in the story, but that would be totally cheap. I still say she should go for Jeran or Brucey B

I never said I disliked Tomos. He's a good hero, so far, at least compared to those dang Usuls we had to put up with in the last few comics. Wouldn't Nabile get upset if Tomos dumped her though? They seem to have something between them already. And what about Horace! Won't somebody think about Horace!

I just started mapping my temple (yes I know I'm late ), and I was wondering...Do some regular black tunnels lead to traps? I've been trapped in a blob of jelly twice in the same place, and I thought that I was clicking the tunnel and I thought only doors led to traps, but now I'm not sure...

As far as I know, they are not traps. Just don't get impatient and click more than once on a black tunnel!

I actually wouldn't be too surprised if it was something completely anti-climactic. But one thing I want to know is why she coughed. That kind of thing isn't just thrown in randomly, and it probably means more than that Amira is just a bad speaker.

Well, you also have to take into consideration that some of the other things that were taken away also dealt with scarabs. Some scratchcards had images of scarabs on them and various stores sold scarab related items, etc. I'm not ruling it out completely, but it may be mere coincidence.
