No nap for me today. Too busy. But I'll hopefully be going to bed soon... If the parking lot quiets down. The hotel is... interesting. To say the least. All four groups from my family had to be reassigned rooms at least once due to serious issues (e.g. no bathroom light, room full of smoke in the smoke-free hotel, room full of pot smoke, a sofa bed that couldn't open without trapping someone in the king bed in a corner). We gave up on the sofa bed entirely, so I've got a nest made out of the sofa cushions and an extra pillow from the main bed. I'm grateful for my fragrance allergy which inspired me to pack my own sheet and pillow, because it gives me more layers between myself and the mysterious stains on the furniture.

As we were checking in, the Swat team was gearing up in the nearby Denny's parking lot. The next morning someone in our hotel was arrested. Last night, someone was passed out on our hallway and security was trying to get him to leave without calling the cops (not sure if he succeeded). Early this morning, a couple was checking in next to my brother's room and discovered someone (Goldilocks?) was already sleeping in their bed (and it wasn't the hotel's fault for double booking). Then we had a fire alarm due to fumigating for fruit flies.

Our room has two doors, which is good because the electronic lock on one of them stopped reading the keys yesterday. Everything that can be bolted down is, and there is only one lightbulb in each light fixture. Because towels can't be bolted down, there's a shortage there, too.

Like I said... Interesting.
