We're either going to get a nice snow day tomorrow, or (more likely) a wicked ice storm -- and widespread power outages due to the overhead power lines next to and under towering trees that were already weakened in the recent tropical storm. My neighborhood has a ton of pines, which are some of the worst for snapping branches.

Don't worry if you don't hear from me for a few days. I'm as prepared as I can be. At least I should be able to collect day 25 before I lose power.

Thankfully we only lost power for about two hours. Of course, between hearing the transformers blow at 2:45am, the animals scurrying in the roof/attic at 3:45am, and the power coming back on around 4:45am,, plus a few more limbs coming down throughout the night (which sound like shotguns), I did not get a great night's sleep.

So tired.

But warm and safe, so I'm fine.
