Sounds right, Blue. (About cars and what day you're on. It blows my mind when intelligent people suggest I should consider replacing my car instead of getting normal maintenance done. And I include parts wearing out in their normal lifecycle as normal maintenance. Getting a brand new car will never be cheaper than repairing an old one. My car is 17yo with under 150k miles, and it should last me at least another 300k miles (not sure how much past that because few similar cars are above that right now, but at some point I might end up upgrading to a good used electric vehicle). Obviously at some point, a car isn't worth fixing, like when my first one threw a rod into the engine, but I'd still rather get a good used car. At least until I'm in a financial position where I feel I can throw thousands of dollars away.)

I just double-checked my total with a calculator. It's correct. I managed to match on days 7 and 9, and get the best BLB on day 8 plus the extra 2.5k on day 1, which is like getting a match on day 6 and a match 3 on day 7 or 9... Really a crazy round! Even without the double bonus, it would be on the hunt for a record.

There is definitely a point at which an older car is not worth fixing. This point will vary by individual for sure, but it is not just the cost of repairs, but the reliability factor. Not so awesome getting stranded somewhere so dark and scary that the tow trucks refuse to go there after dark. For me, I sort of figure the repair costs vs. a monthly car payment. A giant repair bill for something major hurts a lot, but if it equates to 2 or even 4 new car payments, it is probably worth it, unless something else is about to go. I had a car that I kept fixing... until the gas pedal pad fell off. No easy fix, and I was not going to replace the linkage up and through the dash to wherever it went. Not pulling the dash. Nope. Out.

My current car is about 13 years old with nearly 238k miles on it, and I have no real plans to replace it anytime soon.

At this point, I could get no matches for the rest of the time and still end up with over 465k in the end. I just have to not miss a day.

And since I don't post my records anymore, I looked up my prior record, back when the game was being wonky in January 2021 and repeating results, causing me 7 triples that round. It was 465,375, so I just need one more match before day 25 to beat that.

Absolutely insane! It took another glitchy situation to make it possible, but it still would be a very high round without the extra BLB.

(For what it's worth, I asked my other friends if they'd ever had more than one bonus in a round, and one claimed it had happened to her plenty of times and it's not that rare. But since the three of us have actually tracked the game daily for years, I trust our experience more than that vague assertion. Others acknowledged that they had no idea because they don't keep track.)
