Autions! silly question...maybe.

Sun Oct 12, 2008 3:31 pm

So, how can so many people tell when an auction is in its LAST munute of bidding? I can see people bid on minute after me...actuaully 20 people bid at the last minute who did not bid at all before.

How can you tell when the very last minute is?

thank you?

There is no way of knowing when exactly an auction will end. The best way people guess when it will end is by watching it on this page:

Each time you refresh, the auction will probably move up a few spots. When it gets to a low-numbered spot, most people will rush to place a bid.

hmmm....not so sure....I will check it out...it really seems a bit fishy that ther are SO many CONCICDENCES on the auctions...i am not planning on using them any longer...

I do find it odd that almost no one has seemed to answer this. I suspec that several people have a way to do this...you ONLY get a "les than 30 seconds" and absolutely (SUPPOSEDLLY) no way to know when the last MINUTE of an auction is taking place...even if you are onlly guessing...that is a LOT or people who ONLY guess the LAST minute of an auction. I see it happe MANY MANY TIMES...so i have to say that I doubt that people are just "guessing' whether it is the last minute or so....

Thanks anyway...I will try another place to ask this, since I don't think that it is that simple..but how knows.

It is purely guesswork and experiance. I've been doing that for some time now, and I am almost always in the last minute. There isn't any program, or any cheat that bids on it for you. It's just like Ebay, in a way!

There are, in fact, programs that people use to cheat auctions. They're not very prevalent, but they do exist. The bid limit rule (you have to wait like 4 seconds or something like that in between bids) helps to stop these programs, though.
