I used to Google, but then I found my luv-er-ly Getty Images. *huggles it* Google annoyed me a lot because of the fact that although you I a lot of results, most of them were bad quality, and it was hard to get specific enough in my searches.

That, and almost anything you typed in had innapropriate pictures coming up...

I get a lot of my images from various sites that provide high quality scans, Anime Project Alliance, and Minitokyo. Quite a lot of times I've scanned my own images for graphics though, so I get a lot from magazines and such.
Also, the magazines I get provide free stock photos on supplementary CD's, but I've only used those one time I can remember.

I usually google it. But sometimes, if I'm looking for a picture of a certain anime, I go to...

animewallpapers.com (beware the popups though)
bestanime.com

And if I'm looking for some CG art, I go to boyis.com

I prefer the Altavista image search. Personal pref
