They may need some minor tweaking, but they're still good, more or less.
1. Posting in Discussion Threads
There is one major threads stickied at the top of this board, Ratings. Probably the most active thread on this board. This is the place to get your graphics (av/sig sets, userlookups, etc.) rated by your peers.
2. Creating a New Thread
PPT Art Tech is here for members to get technical help with art, graphics, writing, and other art forms. That means, of course, this board welcomes tutorials, tips and pointers, and requests for help. Additionally, this board is open for artists taking requests, and those requesting art.
3. Software Piracy
I would think this is a no-brainer, but we've had some issues with it in the past.
DO NOT ask for cracks/unlocking codes/program tricks to extend trials/etc. to avoid paying for software.
If you should happen upon a post that asks for it, don't tell them.
This is a very serious and strike-worthy offense. Software piracy is illegal and immoral, and should a software company (Say...Jasc) happen upon this forum and see that we harbor and sometimes even assist software pirates, we (PPT) are liable for their losses.
4. Out of Place Posts
PPT Art Tech is not the place to post your art. Finished art should go in Ye Olde PPT Art Gallery.
It is also not the place to plug your art gallery, that belongs in Promotions & Plugging.
Nor is it the place to request any sort of graphic (av/sig, banner, blinkie, etc.), that belongs in the Sig Pic Requests.
If you need help on coding something, like a blog or layout, that belongs in Computing & Technology.
Within this board, graphics ratings belong strictly in the Ratings Board.
Now, if you should happen upon an out of place post, the best thing to do would be to politely answer their question and then point out the appropriate place to post, then PM a moderator to take care of it.
