I made a siggy the other night and tried eveything I could to make the edges and heart transperant and it just doesn't want to work for me :(

I tried saving it on a transperant background, exporting it as a .gif, .jpg and .png image and even googled it to see what I could find!

Any help welcomed :D it looks dumb being non transperant!

I never used PSP, but it should have a tool to make it transparant. Try pasting the picture on a transparant canvas, the use the magic wand tool (this is what the tool is called in photoshop, I don't know what it's called in PSP) and click on the white bits to make them transparant.

This is what works in Photoshop, but PSP should have something similar too :)

Not sure if that helps.....

It looks transparent to me o.0 But heres how I do it anyway:

I create my image, and leave whatever I want transparent blank, so it only shows the checkerboard.

File > Save

Switch the file type to .gif (don't bother naming it at this point because you'll just have to type it in again in a minute)

Then on the far right side of the box are four options: Save, Cancel, Help, Options. Click options.

I have mine set on Version 89a (version 87a won't allow transparency, so you'll have to choose 89a) and noninterlaced.

Click Optimizer. Tada :D Just mess around with those settings until it looks best ^^

It'll show up transparent if you use Firefox, which is why some can see it as transparent.

My PSP never worked when I tried to use transperancy, so I used Animation Shop (which came with PSP, open your start menu>all programs>jasc software).

If you have it, open your picture, set the background to transparent (animation>animation properties>cavas colour - transparent) then using the fill tool, tick the 'to canvas color' box, and right click in the areas you want transparent. Save it, and yay (hopefully)! :)

That's probably it right there. I'm seeing it just fine. Especially since it's a .png.

Looks transparent to me. I usaully use the GIF format for transparencies and set the background to "Transparent"... not white.
