I personally am all for the DS and all against the PSP... but that's partially because I'm a Nintendo fanboy...

For example.... if Nintendo claimed the moon was made of cheese and Sony or Microsoft said it wasn't, I'd still side with Nintendo...

Neutral with both of them. I don't judge any of the systems until I have played them. Actually at this point I'm interest in neither. I hate the DS's design and I could care less about the PSP. If it came down to being FORCED to buy one, I would probably buy a DS, just because the PSP has a high chance of failing, because most of society sees no other handheld systems but Nintendo products, which is sad because one day something great could possibly be passed up by such narrowmindedness. On top of that, there's Nintendo fanboys which will buy it no matter the quality (not saying that it's going to be bad, but fanboys don't care). With these two groups together, I'd say the PSP will last about as long as the Dreamcast did. On top of the PSP failing (if it does), obviously there will be more games made for the DS because the PSP is already out. While Nintendo has disappointed me many times and in many ways in game production (Mainly since the N64 and GC), I don't really expect the PSP to come out with very many good games itself. But no matter what the outcome, there will be hordes of Sony and Nintendo fanboys fighting online about which is better, but in vain. This would be the view of a non-biased individual.

I can't vouch for either, however the PSP will cost almost 3 times that of a playstation 2.

DS. It's an innovative idea and I'd like to try it. And yes, the Metroid game looks great.

Kugetsu, I completely agree with your opinion, but i feel like being a nintendo fanboy is sorta my job, so I have to still go with nintendo. But yes, the non fanboy side of me agrees with you!

And I'm really looking forward to Animal Crossing on the DS, but I'm amazed by metroid.

I vote for the DS. I'd love to try it, even though the dual screens will probably confuse me at first. I can't wait for Animal Crossing. ^_^

DS, because I could only imagine PSP costing something fiercely high...and batteries only lasting a about ten minutes pumping out graphics out like that. I don't think I'll buy either though. But the DS is atleast a new approach to things.

I am Neutral on which I think is better. As for which I want? It would have to be the DS because of Animal Crossing DS.

And how prey tell will that be? PS2 retails for £139, therefore the PSP would be retailing at close on £500. I think not.

The PSP is more powerful than the DS. But time will tell. Nintendo have alot more scope on the handheld market, but they also had a better scope on the console market, and look how that turned out. lol.

I am going to reserve judgement for now. But I am a massive sony fan.
