I got a idea for this topic from the topic about favourite tv theme tunes... So, what songs do you like from games? I have a lot of songs from Final Fantasies... Eh. But I'll tell a few.

FF7 - Rufus Welcoming Ceremony (Catchy!)

FF7 - Its Difficult Standing on Both Feet, Isnt It? (The song's name is funny... Points to a certain scene with Red XII...)

FF7 - Caith Sith's Theme (One of my favourite characters, yay!)

FF7 - Barrets Theme (My favourite char of the whole game.)

FF7 - The Turks Theme (My favourite sidechars of the game... Just so funny.)

FF6 - Opera Battle (This is pretty catchy too...)

FF6 - Umaro (Fits him.)

Chrono Trigger - Gato's Song (The words actually rhyme with the music, even that he doesn't sing 'em.)

Chrono Trigger - Boss Battle 2 (Fits for boss fights...)

Oh my... here are my absolute faves

1. Suikoden III - Opening.

This is definitely the single most moving piece of music I've ever heard in a game. It just draws me into the game... and late in the song I'll even feel tears in my eyes.

2. Final Fantasy VII - Sephiroth battle theme.

Uematsu claimed he came up with this by combining Jimmy Hendrix and classic opera. That's just too cool if you ask me.

3. R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 - entire soundtrack

This, to me, til this day, is still the best soundtrack to a racing game. Some vocal songs remind me of the trance artist Amber.

4. Final Fantasy VIII - Opening

Before Suiko III came out, this was my favorite opening theme. Made me wish I knew latin.

5. Final Fantasy VII - Aeris's Theme

This song just says "sadness," even more so for those who have played the game (which is everyone by now right?)

If I'd ever played a Final Fantasy game before, I'm sure every song from that would be here to.

"The end" songs from SM64 and PM. And that one song in every Mario game, whatever it's called.

Final Fantasy VII - Aeris's Theme I love this so much. Kinda brings back happy memories too

Kingdom Hearts - Dearly Beloved I don't know what it is I like about it so much, I just find it really relaxing, tranquil even.

Kingdom Hearts - Kairi I Tis nice.

Kingdom Hearts - Traverse Town I love this so much, tis kinda jolly, I don't know, I can't describe it. Just makes me feel happy.

Kingdom Hearts - Destiny Islands Fun. ^_^

I love the Tomb Raider theme tune music too, if that counts. I adore it. *mega grin*

Pretty much anything from FFVIII.
The Opening, The Legendary Beast, and Ultimecia's Theme are awesome.

I loved that song..hey,I still do.

I also am fond of the Fire Emblem song in SSBM.

Sephiroth's One Winged Angel theme, the opening to FFVIII, and the Megaman X, Megaman X2, Megaman X3, Megaman X4, and Megaman X5 soundtracks.

the orchestrational sequence in the final missions (well, one mission two parts) o freespace 2 as the collossus is obliterated in battle trying to stop a sathanas juggernaut, then the superb music you get in the "supernova" cutscene, and finally the music as admiral petrov informs the blue lions of your demise.
