Just picked up this game today...got a chance to do one race before working on an assignment...and boy is it awesome! I got the hang of the wheel pretty quickly, thank goodness. Anyone else get this yet? My boyfriend and I would love to set up multiplayer games. :)

Once you get used to it, heh.

In online multiplayer, it shows you who is actually using the wheel.

We have this! We just picked it up a couple days ago, actually. I haven't played it yet, but Tim is ploughing through unlocking things for us. It's a lot of fun! :) I much prefer watching him race in this game than other racing games like DiRT or GT. :P

You mean you can SEE the person who's controlling the wheel like a webcam thing?

In online play, you can tell who is using the wheel 'cos there's a little wheel icon next to their character.

We just bought it today, and it's really challenging for me to get used to using the Wii-mote and wheel.

One of my friends has this.

AM IN LOVE WITH IT. Am seriously considering trading in a few of my other games for this, haha. It's awesome :) I picked up the wheel pretty quickly, too.

Btw, I *hate* Rainbow Road, haha. We ended up having competitions to see who fell off the most times, not on purpose. I won (lost?)

Gone, forever.

Just bought the game a couple days ago (And a Wii, obviously. Was in town browsing for a new game to amuse me with my mother, and she said "Why don't you buy a Wii"... Well. couple hundred pounds later, and I bought a Wii, another controller, Mario kart and Metroid Prime)

Anyways, not really very far in it yet (Much of my attention is taken by Metroid Prime or showcasing to my family just how much I suck at baseball on Wii Sports) Took me a while to work out Drifting again (I'm using a Wii mote and nunchuck) but it's easy sauce now.

And I REALLY hate Blue shells. REALLY.

This game does not live up to the Mario kart franchise. It feels like a rush job that didnt make sure they put out quality.

*I* think this is the best mario kart yet. Soooo many things to unlock. Had this game for 2 1/2 months now and I'm still missing 2 characters, 1 car and haven't finished getting all my trophies for mirror yet. Although I attribute this to spending more time playing on wifi :P

I didnt try it online but I didnt really like the controls either. Do you play it using the wheel because thats what I didnt like at all. Maybe I should try it online more.
