Hmm, I didn't check personally (so I'm guess guessing), but I think the Genji items are on the top right corner of the Armour area

you know the really powerful weapons that need to be unlocked with loot? would the game indicate or hint you which loots are required? or is it completely hidden and random that you need to search Gamefaqs.com for it?

The game does hint at certain loot collections to sell, and i've seen several thus far through completing thtat book think which records all the monsters you face. Just kill a certain number of an enemy and you will get and extra page of history, which sometimes speaks of certain items and combos.

lets say if i accidently sold some that i am not suppose to, am i screwed for the rest of the game? or can i fix the problem by getting some more required loots?

you have a right to be worried, as it's complicated. yes, they record the items, but every time you buy a bazaar goods set, the counter for those items resets to zero. :o so, in order to help you all, read this guide, which will make things a lot more simple for you, and explain the loot system better.

biggest complaint with the game? too complicated to enjoy all the fun. You feel cheated a lot of the time, and because i don't like that feeling, i always get guides like this. again, enjoy the read.

Does it only reset the items used to make a certain item or items, or does it reset everything?

it resets the number of a certain type of item. let me give an example from the guide i gave a link to...
Quote:
1. You don't have to sell the loot for a specific recipe all at once. The game
remembers every loot sold and the quantities so you don't have to worry
about that. It also doesn't matter where you sell it : any shop is fine.

2. When a recipe is complete and you buy the unlocked Bazaar Goods the quantity
for the loot used in that recipe is set back to 0, even if you sold more
than required.
Ex : The 'High Arcana' recipe needs (among others) 10 Arcana. If you sell 15
of them in a row, 5 are lost. If you sell only 10 and complete the recipe,
exit the selling screen (thus validating the recipe), buy the High Arcana,
come back and sell the remaining five, it will be remembered for later.
so it's better to know for sure what the recipes are, and you aren't overselling a certain item.

I'm claiming Balthier as my favorite character, as i like his attitude towards most thinks. not rash in any of his actions...plus he knows how to use a gun. Wii! :D

Anyway, is there anything that you would have lied to know before you start playing? IE point allocation etc. (Not sure how this one is working) or sbhould I just go as I see fit first time through knowing that I've yet to compleate a second run through.

You'll enjoy it. The battle system takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it its a heck of a lot better then random encounters.

Aw, I can't wait. Seriously, I'm really excited! I'm going to go into town and buy it on the day of release, which is indeed next Friday (as opposed to this Friday). I've been anticipating this for a long time, as quite rightly said, it has simply been too long.

An extra reason to pre-order, Royal Mail delivered mine quicker than normal so I had a great surprise in my post today!

Great game, now if I can just play without my irritating flatmate having to sit in ...

You know... I haven't touched this game since December, and I REALLY need to play it again, I've just been wrapped up in a bunch of other games that I completely forgot I still have this game to finish. :P

focus in character bonuses and boosts (gambits are wonderful) rather than the other lisences at the beginning. you should only be using your points on the weapons, armor, magic, accesories and techniques if you have them. Should you do that, you should have all of your boosts filled before you even fully hi the rest of the weapons and armor. ;)

Hah, I got the game yesterday. It's really great, I'm in the airship, and just killed a couple of judges. I'm trying to train up for a while, and it's pretty easy because of the gambits, as when I fought the judges, a couple of my characters perished, a few times, hehe. Shame they only give 48 exp, or something pathetic. At least there is a lot of them.

Anyway, I'm having a lot of fun. :D

Can anyone inform me what a chain level is though? I understand chains, I think, in that you attack the same type of enemy, and therefore, you get more bonuses, but what do chain levels mean? And also, are there any special conditions in which your character attacks twice? It seems to happen very rarely.

The higher the chain level, the more likely you are to get better or multiple items from the enemies (not rare items, mind you, I think you just get a different kind of item, if they have it, though I suppose it raises the chance of getting weapons and stuff too, since it's multiple), it also heals you somewhat when you pick up the items. They're good to get items to sell, but unless I'm training, I don't go out of my way to get them. There's probably more to them than that, though, but they stop leveling up at a certain point anyway.

As far as attacking twice, I believe it depends on the weapon, and the speed stat of your character. You won't really get many multiple hits until you get further in the game. Once you get the final katana, you'll be hitting like a maniac,

Thanks. I noticed that I stopped getting the chain level up messages when I was reaching around 80 (and hadn't got a level up in ages). I did notice some of those things happening, certainly the healing. I didn't realised it was linked.

But yay! I got to level 14 with all characters before I had to head off, so I'm going to try and get further. I hope I do okay. My licence board is doing pretty well, too, I'm expanding to the bottom left of the board as I realised there were a lot of bonuses. I have Quickenings with 3 players, however, when I used one, I really didn't understand what I was doing and did a measly 61 damage. Any help?

Yeah, make sure to get 3 quickenings with a character before thinking of using it. They're pretty powerful once you do. (though they become weak and pointless the further you get in the game, as they're physical damage and not elemental. -_-)

How are you doing on the weapons and such? Are you just doing the boosts and the like as I said? (oh, and I'll point out that a LOT of the techniques are crap and you shouldn't even bother with them, except for completion sake. ;) 1,000 Needles is good for hitting flying monsters with melee weapons, though. (when you get to the point where you can get it)

I should pop that in now... I've gotten extremely bored of Twilight Princess. x_x I guess it's like they said, it's much like Ocarina of Time... too much. (which I also never finished because it was so boring. D:)
