That is if I could do multiplayer. But then again, I do have 2 controllers. :)

Yeah, it only works for Multiplayer, everything else depends one what you buy for that band. :\ I think it's set up so that you have to get 5 stars on everything to buy everything in the game (not really sure, though).

Bah, back to Hangar 18 again on Expert. :P Not as difficult as last time, but I've only gotten to 90-95%

Better than me. Yeah, you gotta get 5 stars on everything (Like The Log or whatever for 5 stars on Expert).

UPDATE!

The new Guitar Hero game is out! It is called Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80's. It features 30 new songs for the PS2 including We Got the Beat, Heat of the Moment, Seventeen, No One Like You, and more! It is available at Best Buy and other retailers in the US and UK (I think it is available in UK, but not sure)

Although there are no bonus songs or venues, being able to play 30 new songs is well worth it! :)

Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to get it soon... I do want it, but the venues look the same and haven't been changed to compensate for it being in the 80's, the guitars are pretty much the same. The only thing they changed was character appearances (and took out all unlockable characters, except the Grim Ripper, and characters new to GHII) The lack of songs is also sort of disheartening as they could have EASILY had more... though the most annoying thing is that it's a full $50, when it's more like an expansion to GHII (much like the Dynasty Warrior expansions are, meaning not adding much), and costs more than the other two Guitar Heros do. [/rant]

Anyway, since I never updated, I beat Freebird on Expert on the 4th of July, but have since then lost the thing that my wireless controller requires to play it. :x (along with my wallet, of all things) Needless to say, I haven't been playing lately. D:

Wow. Long time since update. Beat Woman, stuck on Freya. >.<
What's with me and my tendency to get stuck on 5-letter name songs? 0_o

Rockin the 80s looks nice. I think I'll wait for a price drop, though.

I need a new sig. >_>

I got Rocks the 80's on the release date, and have played it a lot already. I don't care that the venues and characters are the same, but 30 new songs makes it worth it for me and will keep me entertained until GH3 comes out later on.

Here is my personal update: I have 5* all Medium and Easy. 100% on 52 of the 64 Medium songs. I am working on Hard and Expert, but cannot beat Woman (Exp). On 80's I have beaten almost all of Med. but have 5 songs to go. I have 16 100%'s out of the 25 songs I have completed. On Co-op 80's I can beat 18 and Life without a partner (0% and 91% of notes hit).

It's probably worth $50 if you haven't already beaten everything on every difficulty, but seeing as the hardest song on Expert isn't *that* difficult (yeah, it's pretty hard, but nothing compared to some of GHII's songs seeing as it's a ton of hammer-on and pull-offs), it would be like playing $50 for a bunch of songs that you'll have beaten in a week or so, since there are no songs to get stuck on and keep you occupied for a long time. :\

I'll get it if I ever have fifty extra dollars laying around and I don't have anything I really need at the moment, but it (along with any other games right now, unfortunately) isn't that high on my "Game I Must Have Right Now" list. Then again, no games are. :P

Wow, been awhile since I've said anything here.
My updates:.. Umm.. Got the log on GH2 (Meaning 5* everything on Expert).. Also beat Jordan consistently now... Beat Expert on 80's Edition the day I got it...

Oh and I flew out to California as a consultant to Red Octane, where I was taken to Neversoft Studios to play the unreleased Guitar Hero 3. Trip was paid and was totally awesome, btw. I also run a podcast for http://www.scorehero.com, the biggest Guitar Hero fan site on the web.. Podcast is at http://starpower.scorehero.com If anyone's ever looking for me over there, my nickname is No1ButU in the forums.

I read about that on SH! Bet it was fun seeing the new game :)

Personal Update:

Beat Woman, now I am stuck on Freya (oh the irony). I am now working on 5*ing Hard and beating Jordan. On 80's I have done all of Medium, haven't played much. Sadly, I cannot pass Because Its Midnite consistently.

That sounds like it was great, DragonDoodles. :D There are a couple of announced songs I can't wait to play. :)

Heh, I got to play Rockin the 80's at Walmart for a while one day. I did the first two blocks on Expert and Warrior on the third (which equates to the workers staring at you a lot.). I stopped playing after that because I couldn't tell if they wanted me to get off or not. None of the songs were particulary difficult (though the solo in Because Its Midnite was crazy for a first time through. xD) Even though it wasn't that difficult, I did have fun playing Warrior.

Now I just have to work on getting my guitar up and working again, since it's the only game at the moment that I can play and play without getting bored of.

Ahh... Guitar Hero 2. The game I play the most on my 360. :P

I love this game, but, currently stuck on Hard on Carry Me Home.

Also, I really like the original set list but the bonus songs I play just as much, Gemini, Arterial Black, Less Talk More Rokk, Mr. Fix-It, there are some really good ones.

I can't wait for Rock Band too myself. GH3 has some decent songs but the battle mode and such just don't appeal to me. Rock Band looks miles better to me. Plus, the whole Who's Next album. *drool*

I downloaded Gemini and Arterial Black so I could listen to them on the road. I don't care too much about a lot of the others (as far as just listening to them without the game), but those two I do like a lot.

I'm not really that interested in Rock Band anymore. It seems much more like a game you would play with many people as opposed to yourself (despite the single player modes), and seeing as I will rarely be having friends over here, I don't think I'll probably end up buying it, unless it's not as highly priced as I'm anticipating. (to me, it looks like it could easily cost over $100 dollars with everything needed to play it)
