Oh I LOOOOVE the Sims 2 I've had it ever since it came out! Oh and just to say The Sims 2 University is coming out in 8 days 12 hours. I go to a forum to talk about it. Its Called http://www.snootysims.com all you do is look at the left bar and close to the bottom it will say forum. Its a cool site if you wanna talk about the sims 2, the new expansion and other things! :)

I've started playing it again after a break from it.
I just LOOOOOOVE downloading stuff for it.
But I need a site that has great clothes for free!
thesimsresource is good for objects since they're all free to download, but they have crap for free skins.
So yeah... anyone know of any good free download clothing sites? :) Preferably ones that have alot of ADULT clothing.
I've been to one that has alot but most of the clothes are for teens.

I love it but I haven't played in over a week or so. I played a while and I was really enjoying it. But there were so many things I didn't understand like career rewards and other things I could do. Once I started getting the hang of how to do it all, I wanted to start over. But now I restarted it, but every time I think about playing it, I think I'll wait a little longer for the expansion. So now I am waiting for it.

One of the problems I have when I'm playing... is that I really just enjoy creating the sim... and building/decorating their homes.
When it comes time to actually start playing them.... Meh... I don't feel like it.
Then the next time I play.... I'll want to create a new sim and start all over again.
It's pretty annoying b/c I do actually want to play with a sim I create. I just can never get over that urge of starting all over again lol.

I do the exact same thing. I am just like that. Lately I've been getting the urge to play the game, but it seems like every time I start with new people. I do have ideas about playing with them, but next time i get on I want to make someone new and build a new house.

Heh Sims 2 is so cool

I agree about building homes. I prefer building homes heh. The most expensive home I've built yet is worth 422,206 simoleans (only because I put the most expensive stuff in it.) My most extravagant one was a 5 story (yes, 5 stories.) house. Trick is to build your house on hills. I did that, and ended up with a 4 story main wing on top of a hill which served as the bed rooms, guest rooms and family/fun rooms, and a pool on the second tier hill and a basement/kitchen on the ground floor.

As for the 422k one, there's a underground pool.

I LOVE that game so much, but it crashes my computer after just a few minutes of play. Apparently I have an ever-so-special laptop that doesn't play the Sims or the Sims2. >> Rawr.

Ouch. Play it on a PC? It's called a PC game for a reason. :P J/k.

I've posted there a couple of times. It's a decent forum. Good place to go if you want to find nice custom content for your Sims - there's a great thread with all sorts of good links.

Babies are the best part of the game, methinks. I've saddled Angela Pleasant, who isn't even Family Aspiration, with four children, and a fifth one is on the way. (I had Brandi Broke marry Don Lothario, and he won't let me have more babies, so she only has Dustin, Beau and her inexplicable third child whom I named Zane. And Dustin married Angela.)

I had Cassandra marry Darren Dreamer, and he painted her peering malevolently through a telescope, and even though everyone who files through people's memories (as I do) knows what's that's about, I'm going to pick up that painting when her great-grandchild is a teenager. See what kind of photo album I could make out of it. In fact, I should make a whole Darren Dreamer art gallery on the premises. It's a good thing that still lives can include people. Unfortunately, I maneuvered for Cassandra's love entirely on the Dreamer side (and arranged to have Cassandra catch Don cheating on the Lothario side,) so Darren is getting on a bit. There's still time for plenty of paintings, though.

Does anybody else have an Orwell family? I didn't make it, my sister doesn't admit to having made it, and they're a bit young to have everything they claim to remember.

So what do the aliens have against members of the Bachelor family? Bella was a Bachelor, and Dina Caliente (who has alien blood) married Michael for the inheritance, and in my gameplay, she did the same to Mortimer, and in any event clearly wanted to.

The only people I've had die are Daniel Pleasant and Mortimer Goth. Both had Platinum aspiration and died of old age. (Angela died of starvation while frying herself some salmon, and that was so very stupid that I didn't save.) I'm pretty sure people who die below Platinum get plain grey tombstones, not the well-wrought ones Daniel and Mortimer got, but do others who die of old age get hula dances? And do they still get the well-wrought tombstones if they die at Platinum but prematurely?

All right, I'll stop already. But I'm very into the social dynamics of the game.

If someone dies at platinum but not of old age they still receive the gray tombstone. As for the hula dancers, they will show up for both platinum and gold level old-age deaths.

All this talk about it is really making me curious. Good thing my birthday is in a few months. I can beg my mom to get it for me and see for myself what it's like. <3
