Paper Mario: The Thousand-year Door

Fri Oct 15, 2004 7:50 pm

I've been a little short of obsessed with this game lately. I had high hopes for it because I had enjoyed the first paper mario. I am so glad that I bought it! I have been playing it like crazy for the past three days!

Does anyone else love this game as much as I do?

I just love the humor of it! It's so much fun to play. I also love the paper style of the characters and the gameplay that come from that.

I have not completed the game yet, but I'm certain I'm close. I wouldn't say the game is really short, but it is no where near long enough to satisfy my love of it. I demand another sequeal... immediately!

It's a great game :D I've been trying to not play like crazy and I've been busy so I've only completed the first chapter. I love the stage battle system. And, of course, all the ways they use Mario's paperness.

Well, there's this 1000 year-old door, and no one knows what's under it. You need the 7 crystal stars to open the door, and the X-Nauts are also after the stars. From what I've gotten to so far.

Yep, and of course peach has been kidnapped.

Heh, I love the bowser parts. I feel bad for him though.

I would've paced myself so as not to fly through the game in a few days, but I've been sick all week so I didn't have anything else to do. I've just started chapter 8 which is either the last or second to last chapter as far as I can guess. Whee! It's so fun.

The Bowser Super Mario game is great. You get so big you don't even have to jump over the spaces

I had to restart it. I got stuck on the moon with Low HP and only one Mushroom.

(I first went with full and hit the Save block. A while later i saw another save block, so i hit that one. It took me a little while to realize that was the same save block, and I walked in a large circle.)

Heh, I did the same thing. Not with having to restart :(, but with walking in the circle and not realizing it right away.

I'm curious, is everyone's yoshi a random color? I think they are because the box art one is green, but mine was orange.

*looks at avatar* I kinda like it. Okay, so yeah, I really really like it. Maybe a little too much. And the saddest thing is, I don't even own the game yet. I will soon though... hopefully.

I think they are all different. Mine is pink. I WANT A GREEN ONE!!! I've only just got to the haunted island. I haven't beenplayng it for long as I'm juggling it with Harvest Moon and Pikmin 2.

I have a green yoshi. :P I'm on Chapter 8, and I'm stuck. xD

I beat it, and am playing it again. I loved this game more than the first, which I loved too, and hope they make another one.
The yoshis are random, I got a green one on my 1st game and a pink on the 2nd. Here's a topic about them if you want to know all of the colors and how to get them.

I cannot wait to go home next week and really tear into this game. I'm through the first chapter, and I was really upset when I had to come back to school and leave it behind.

Fortunately I have my N64 and the original paper mario with me. ^_^
