Yup, it's happening. Here's proof,

And a new Zelda trailer! A great day at GDC.

Animal crossing DS will be the first online DS title. YAY!

YES!

Ever since I heard they were making Animal Crossing for DS, I've been hoping for something like this... this is going to be awesome. :D

Sweeet. Animal Crossing had gotten a tad boring when I found out there were just a few personality sets and that most of the villagers were exactly the same. Real people should make it more interesting.

Online, eh? Well, that sounds interesting. What exactly do they mean by that, though?

My best guess is that rather than walking around town meeting the same 10 people continually and even when you get the robofrog to leave, getting the exact same personality coming back..however as a panda this time, you'd be going along with other human players with the occasional NPC.

Eww, they ruined AC for me. Sure, I might try it out, but I hate online games (except for the occasional few). But YAY ZELDA TRAILER <3

I am pretty sure there will be an offline game too. :)

Oh, meaning as in you would have the option to play online or off? Well that's alright then... :P *dance of happiness*

Yeah. Also, in order to play online you have to be in a wi-fi hot spot. A lot of Starbucks and Panera Breads are hot spots. Also, if you have a cable modem and a wireless router in your house, your house is a hotspot too. Lucky for me, I have a router in my house. :D :D :D :D :D

Kind of like the sims. It has been described as a "communication" game. Check out the original game at IGN or gamespot. Read their reviews to get a general idea about it.

That's gonna be really cool. But how are they going to connect the DS? Through giant radio towers or satellites? I don't think that the DS is that powerful.

P.S to rpbnmn: Your sig rules.

It will connect through wi-fi hotspots. If you have a cable modem or DSl and a router you will be able to get online anywhere in your house. Most starbucks and panera breads are wi-fi hotspots too.

And I love my sig too.
