You dont really know much about nintendo do you....

sorry if i come off as insulting.

DS is a handheld console (Nintendo insists it is seperate from game boy but nobody believes that), and the revolution (your gamecube two)
wont come out for a while...

Pokemon Fire Red is a upgraded remake of Pokemon Red with new and old Pokemon, addition islands so you can catch Deoxys, Lugia, and Ho-Oh

Pokemon Leaf Green is a upgraded remake of Pokemon Blue with new and old Pokemon, addition islands so you can catch Deoxys, Lugia, and Ho-Oh

Here is a changes list from a Game FAQs guide

Changes Guide:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
A list of the changes made in the game from the origional, including
Q's and A's about certain rumors going around

Q. How accurate is the remake?

A. Extremely accurate. All the trainers from the previous games have
returned, and have close to accurate teams from the first one. Although quite a bit has changed (New movesets, TM's, etc) the levels and type
of Pokemon remain unchanged. Even the locations are exact.

Q. What about the overworld? How is it different?

A. Completely remade in terms of graphics, and it goes farther beyond R/S. However, the actual layout is pretty much the same. Besides a few minor renevations for the better, everything is 98% accurate to the first
game.

Q. What HAS changed?

A. Here is a list (Athough it may be uncomplete) of the changes:

-At the beginning, when you give oak the Pokedex, he also gives
you 5 Pokeballs.

-Many of the Pokemon's location's have changed.

-Prof. Oak's assistant gives you the Running Shoes when trying to
leave Pewter City, to route 3.

-More Trainers in the routes and areas.

-Same TM set from R/S (Besides HM 07)

-With the new change, there are now move teachers that will teach your Pokemon certain moves that used to me TM's (And some new ones)

-The guards at the gates of the Safron enterance no longer require a drink from the machine in Celadon, but a new Pass that a old lady gives you in the place the Gamefreak designers are in (The biggest building in Celadon besides the Dept. Store), on the first floor.

-Items are now sorted by type, like all the other games above the first 3.

-Pokemon now can Hold items, and have Special Abilities, Like in R/S.

-Once you complete the Cinibar Gym, you will be taken to the 3 new islands of this game (Not in any relation with the Orange Islands in the Anime).

-A few new item additions, including a Tutoral, TM case, and so on.

-Two on Two battles

-Ability to use the Wireless adapter to communicate and battle/trade with others.

-Ability to Trade between Colosseum and R/S.

-Moltres is now located on the first island, instead of Victory road.

-9 New islands to explore, maybe more.

Q. Can you say what isn't in the game and may be, but not confirmed?

A. Yes:

-It is unknown at this time if you can catch Lugia and the Unknown, but
it is pointing to a "no", making them the only two Pokemon that are
uncatchable (Unless there is something that hasn't been found, or will
be in the E-Card Colosseum expansion).

**Update: It has been confirmed, at this time, that not only are
Unknown and Lugia are catchable, but Deoxys as well, making Mew the only uncatchable at this time.

-Time feature (Unknown how this effects Eevee and Umbreon and Espeon)

-Pokemon Contest

-The mytical land of Johto that was rumored to be in at one point.

-Dive HM (Although it is programmed in the game...)

-Breeding On island 4, there is a breeding center that you can breed
Pokemon at and get eggs from.

Correction: NOPE! Leaf Green ISN'T a remake of Blue, it is a remake of Green. Green was a Japanese game that never got into NoA's mind. Until now.

Pokemon Leaf/Fire will come witha free wireless adapter. There you can use the Union Room. Where you can meet your friends and actually talk and battle with them! Deoxys now has 4 yes, 4 forms:

Normal Deoxys: An all-rounder one from RS.
Attack Deoxys: Only catchable in Fire Red.
Defense Deoxys: Only catchable in Leaf Green.
Speed Deoxys: Only catchable in Emerald.

You catch Deoxys on Birth Island (Island 9). And you catch Lugia and Ho-oh on Navel Rock (Island 8). You need special tickets or Gameshark to get there. And the only way to get the tickets is at an event. And, Nintendo hardly ever comes to Canada, so I use Gameshark. To get Deoxys:

You have to move the triangle in the right order. Up, down, left and right! It can take a very long time. And the chances of getting Deoxys are very high, so make sure you save. This game is compatable with Collosseum and RS. So you can send all 386 over to Leaf/Fire.

***Emerald Update***

It seems to appear that this game has Pokemon sprites that come out of the Monster Ball out of battle. And they actually move around now. For example, if you watched the commercial, you can see that Samayoru/Dusclops is running around.

Also, you can team up with random trainers and fight side-by-side in a Double Battle! When you are cornered you are faced by two trainers. They'll team up on you! So be prepared. Also, this game can hold all 386 Pokemon. maybe even Gonbe. And, you can catch the Speed Deoxys here. So there is still a chance that there is ALL the regions. Kanto, Johto and Hoenn. Because you catch Deoxys on Birth Island which is in Kanto, right? This game is coming out soon, when it comes out in Japan (September 16th) I'm going to download the game and take screenshots to show you guys.

By the way, I prefer to use the original names of every hobby I'm into, which includes Pokémon, so please don't think I'm coming off as a snob if I use Luvcus and Satoshi instead of "Luvdisc" and "Ash". ^^;:

You are right.....AND wrong.

Pokemon blue and Pokemon green are the same game, except with minor changes. Pokemon blue is just the name for the non-japanese version.

Why did they change the name? I have no idea.

There's a demo out? I guess I'll be making a trip to Target sometime then. I can't wait for it to come out! I loved the first one. Especially the Li'l Oinks. There was something oddly addicting about pig things hatching out of eggs.

I think I can field that one. Pokemon was planned to be a Christmas release for America and they believed if it was Red and Green being released it would make people think it was some sort of Christmas fad. Essentially they changed it to try and boost sales.

Blue is actually an upgraded version of the original Red and Green, and Yellow was an upgrade of Blue. But for North America and Europe, they basically used the upgraded graphics from Blue, and applied them to Red and Green.

With its two screens, Nintendo DS instantly shows its innovative face. But capabilities like a touch-screen input, voice recognition and wireless communication set it apart from every other game device, and again demonstrate Nintendo’s passion for groundbreaking originality.

Game players need only use their imagination to see how the DS promises to transform the portable game industry by changing the way gamers relate to their games – and each other. Two screens offer two perspectives on the action at once. The touch screen could make accessing items, moving characters or navigating menus as easy as a tap or drag on the screen. Voice recognition could let players simply tell the game what they want it to do. Chat software will let users transmit text messages, handwriting and even drawings to one another. And wireless functions could link players in the same room – or across the country. The unique features of the Nintendo DS hold a wellspring of potential for the future. Game players will be wowed

Ugh, I sure hope not. If they do something like that... I'll lose almost every shred of faith I have for them.

Just a thought, wouldn't it make the console a lot more expensive if you had free phone service? It just doesn't seem plausible, unless its within a very short radius. I'm not saying you're wrong, but the idea just doesn't work well.
