as a companie thats been going strong for well over 100 years, and one whos sales recently qaudrupled, i doubt that nintendo have been bought out.

Actually the company started in 1889, which was about 115 years ago? They made playing cards back then, but started making video games in 1975 (29 years).

you beat me too! I got that from the history of videogames at gamespot. Well, anyway, nintendo won't be bought out anytime soon. You can quote me on that!

M$ buying Ninty

When I saw this topic in the listings, I immediately came in to see what "source" you had listed, figuring it was a baseless rumour.
I don't see Microsoft buying Nintendo any time soon.

I can't see Microsoft buying Nintendo either. Microsoft did buy Rare a while ago and that was one of Nintendo's best assests. Surely Microsoft should be happy with that.

Well, Nintendo actually sold Rare to Microsoft. And with the money they got, they have managed to buy a lot of new stuff for the GC.

Oh, yeah I remember. I've got to get my facts right >_<

People are still posting on this? We all know this will probably never happen... bottom line... but I do feel that I HAVE to say something... so...
here we go...

I seriously don't see the Japan giant Nintendo ever selling out to an American giant like Microsoft... ever. If Microsoft ever got Nintendo, PSWhatever sales would probably skyrocket. Even though there are diehard Nintendo fans, I don't think they would stand up to such a move. I'd guess that tons of the Nintendo fans would convert to Sony rather than Microsoft (seeing as Japan [among other countries] is included in this and that PS2 has done a lot better than XBox has there).

KRR is Kirby's Rainbow Resort. =P

But that still make Chris smash *Squishes random passer by*

I cant believe they ofloaded Rare, they made them Goldeneye, Donkey Kong, Perfect Dark, among other thing. Foolish.

The Rare games were mostly really good. Is the Xbox going to get games like Perfect Dark 2?

:D Will it? I mean, c'mon, I ask for a Gamecube and end up getting an Xbox, then I miss out on all the really cool games *evil glare*
