Congratulations to both of you! How many people are being invited? :D

Will you show a picture of the dress when it arrives or is that bad luck?

Thanks Lillie, we reckon close family and friends (inc Yukio) to the ceremony and meal - about 20- 30 people, then 60-70 people to the reception.

I might show the dress, although I might wait till the wedding - better photos. Kai might also find the piccy - not good.

Tee-he! I think you'll find it's the bride's day... and if I want the only japanese-australian in a kilt, I think he'll be in a kilt.

Lol... don't think the scots were all that fond of rapiers. Wait till you see the replica of William Wallaces sword... it's taller than I am. Image

It looks more like one of those thingies you use to chop the pointy ends of spears with =O

Impressive eh?

It's a claidheamh mòr (Claymore) - a two handed Scottish sword.

(Here's the wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claymore )

My uncle used to make replicas of them before he moved to Denmark.

I had to study weapons through the ages for acting/stage fighting in college. Interesting stuff.

Anyway - only thing we need to bother about for the wedding is the sgian dubhs - not massive claymores.
