My middle name in RL is Rivers Naniwai. I like the name Naniwai (it's Hawaiian) so I decided to use it for my name on PPT. Plus, when I was younger and still sometimes now EVERYONE in my extended family calls me Nani.

Mine is actually a bit odd...at school, we have an art teacher (very, very old...looks as if she would fall apart any second) everyone loathes. She is mean and nasty to anyone she can find, even little ones (3 and four year olds...). I was doodling something during art class when I shouldn't have, and so my art teacher shushed the entire room. She then approached me, held up my picture to everyone, and smiled at me (I nearly peed in my pants...she is REALLY creepy). Then, the old fart said, "Everyone! Look at this! Maeve is clearly something that all of you will never want to be. It's quite a disgrace, actually. She is a big Drama Queen."
It's still a joke, and I laugh along with everyone when they bring it up. We all hate that old hagbag very, very dearly. So that's how I got my name. It also goes along nicely with the fact I love acting.

Well I had a bit of a multiple personality disorder back before the forums crashed, the last one I was on before the forums crashed was Digimon Emperor. (oddly enough, with a Digimon Emperor set) Then I came back, as Target Practise. Why? Because I took a picture of a person I hate for target practice the day I joined and it was still on my mind so I decided to be Target Practise.

When I joined the old forums, I was Rebel_Angel. Why? Really, I don't remember what I was thinking, but at the time I guess I thought it was cool. I was kind of rebellious (or at least I thought I was), and the angel... no idea, seriously, I guess I just liked the way it sounded. And, I didn't know at the time that you could use spaces.
As I matured a bit, I got tired of the name. I knew I wanted something with stars in it, since I love the shape, but I figured that just having Star as my full name would be kind of plain, and would make me sound like a celebrity wannabe or something. I brainstormed through a lot of suffixes, and finally decided that Starchaser just sounded nice - and most people just call me Star, anyhow, which I'm just fine with.
The only changes I've made since then were a seasonal one (Snowchaser) and when I became a Mod Clone for a day.
I've thought about (and tried out for about 5 seconds) other names like Elysian, Instant Karma, Sophic_Muse, and my real name, Ariel, but although I like all the other names, and have used them on other sites, I just like being plain ol' Star here, and I'd feel odd being anything else. I'm planning on keeping this name for as long as I'm here.

I love my name so much! I use it everywhere!
it is hyper because I tend to be well, quite hyper. (I have wrestled people for various forms of sugar and am not allowed to have coffee in any form).
the flutterby because it is a variation of butterfly (I've actually heard that originally butterflies were called flutterbys and then someone else changed it) and I love butterflies because they are symbolic of God changing my life and just plain pretty.

My first username, TheSapphireCelebi, was used on the really old PPT back when I was mainly a lurker. I was an avid Pokemon fan at the time and I thought a blue, semi-clear Celebi was an interesting thing to imagine, thus it became my name. Before PPT it was my Neopets username (and still is) and my username at another fan site (long dead) called Planet Neopia (where I got the main part of the av I've been using for so long). Now it's merely my Neopets name and the name the old members of PN call me by.
My current name, DiscordantNote, was originally the name of my clarinet. I thought it accurately described the sounds that often come out of it. I decided to make it my name because then the clarinet was my most treasured possession (most treasured now would be my bassoon). I've seen people use the term 'DiscordantNote' to mean something poetic, like someone in a bad point in their life or something. I just think of it's definition as 'It sounds BAD, yo', therefore a silly, almost playful term. After it was used as my username here, I named an Ixi DiscordantNote. I've also used it at one other forum (PM me if you want to know which, it's marching band related!).
I have also used the names CrystalBlade, SapphireSword, ChubbyCatDemon, BandGeek, and SummerSolstice at various other places, but never on PPT therefore I won't go into detail about them.

Let's say I was obsessed with LOTR. And elves.
I stumbled upon PPT 3-4 years back. Then, I happened upon PPT's IRC chat. Arwen was a registered username, so I had to think quick. So...
I chose Arwen, played by Liv Tyler. There's the first part. Earendil (supposedly with 2 dots over the 'a') is the brightest elven star. And supposedly the name of Arwen's necklace.
So, yea. BIG LOTR fan. And it's been my name ever since. I haven't changed it once.

My first name, mysticninji, had a long history. When I was first introduced to the wired world, my name was ninjak(yeah, I dunno where I got that one) then ninji0, then mysticninji.
My next name was Kairi(well thats obvious)followed by SakuraAvalon(duh) then Cardcaptorsakura(durf) then Ritz(ff reference) and now this.
