Bonfire night is on Saturday. Or are you American who doesn't know anything other than stuff that's happening in your own country...?

-shrugs- No reason why they should, Ginger. Can you list every holiday going on in Russia? Mongolia? The Outer Hebrides (Okay, okay, I know that's in England, but it sounds exotic

)
The school hosts it's own Firework display, so, yeah. I'll probably watch people exploding things.

That last bit was a bit malicious. I'm sure plenty of people don't know every holiday that happens in other countries.
Well, happy Guy Fawkes day. I never remember when it is, but then again, I'm an American that doesn't know antyhing other than stuff that's happening in my own country so that's not surprising.

I know all about it. Jim told me it's the holiday to celebrate these two guys who discovered how to toast marshmallows

. I'm so glad he educates me in these things or else I'd be totally clueless.
Happy Bonfire night

.
I like my fireworks in the summer when I can sit out on a hot evening cooling off with ice cream and watching fireworks.

No idea why there would be, last time I saw fireworks was Canada day.
Whats the occassion?

Basically it's a celebration of the foiling of a plot hatched by a group of men led by Guy Fawkes to blow up the Houses of Parliament using 36 barrels of gunpowder concealed in a cellar, on the night of November 5th 1605.
Guy Fawkes/gunpowder plot/bonfire night... heck, it's going to be loud this Saturday - I'm right in the middle of the part of the country which seems to get the most carried away with Nov. 5th celebrations every year - every school, town, pub, and just about every other house is having fireworks parties this Saturday it seems. I'm glad I haven't got any pets.

List all of the national holidays in Denmark.

That was pretty wrong of me to say. I'm sorry. It was a really nasty thing to say. But...don't we all say things like that sometimes?
*doesn't know what else to say other than that she is sorry*

It also happens to be the date of a major chartist meeting, calling for revolution.
One of the last if my memory is serving me.
Coincidental apparently.

I LOVE fireworks. They're so pretty! The sound they make is the best part though, the louder the better.
I wish we had something like that here in Canada, fireworks on Canada Day just isn't enough.

Hate fireworks myself.
All they do is make a minor explosion in uninteresting colours and scare the bejezus out of my dog (last year she hid under my chair, this year she has tried to hide under the sette (flush to the ground...) and behind my mum.

Meh. There are times when they're fascinating and moving to me, and times when they bore me. I'm like that, I guess. Last time I saw them was.....I can't remember, actually. I was looking at pictures of them the other day, though.

I used to, but now they just annoy me.
