Favourite Card Game?

Another pointless poll, yay!!

My favourite card game is SPEED. It's fast, and really really fun, and I can get really hyper playing it with some of my friends.

I also like Cribbage. Obviously it requires a little more skill than speed, but then again, not many people know this game. I like playing it on the internet though .

Big 2 (chinese card game), Up-and-down slap and Crazy Eights are some of my other favourites.

I also like Speed and Cribbage (only on the 'net for Cribbage though), but my favorite game is probably Euchre. For the most part it's a Midwest/Great Lakes, USA thing, although I know I've come across a few Australians and Canadians online that knew the game. Then again, maybe they were from the US and just living in Australia or Canada.

Gin Rummy is another favorite as well, and when I'm with people who know how to play it, I enjoy Wist. But it seems that Wist is mainly a Texas/Oklahoma game. And I never understood the bidding aspect of it...

Edit: I can't believe I forgot about Spoons and ERS. We used to play ERS in Chemistry when we had more than 4 players so we couldn't play Euchre. Yeah, my high school's chem classes are a joke. 15 minutes of class, 50 minutes of cards.

I've been a big poker fan since I was young. My dad taught me how to play five card draw one day and I was hooked ever since.

I enjoy Hearts, Spades, and Big Two as well, especially if I can get a game going with some experienced players. Although I'm not too good at it, I also do enjoy a game of Egyptian Ratscrew once in a while. For those of you who are good with Speed and/or have quick reflexes, you should really try that game out. :)

I forgot about Spoons! It's been so long since I've played it. My old neighbors had 6 kids, so I'd play it with them at a big table. It was chaos, pure and simple. ^_^

oh me too! i am the 6th grade champion at that game. =D yeah our loser school had a tornament. Anywho other then that I love spades.

Its name is not really appropriate for PPT, but it has to do with Egyptian rats. ;o I sometimes play by myself if I'm on a really long flight.
