of course the plane your riding could be shot down by another airliner by mistake...hmmm, maybe not such a good idea. :roll:

They aren't actually shooting anything down -- it's not quite Star Wars. The idea is that the laser installation on a plane can misdirect heat guided missiles.

Given that nearly $200,000,000,000 has been spent on pwning iraq, A 33rd of that cost should surely be worth the security of the american people. Wasnt that WHY AMERICA went to war in the first place?
