On the 18th March the hall of heroes opened. Unlabelled on the map, it was found be clicking here:
This leads to the Hall of Heroes.
The Hall of Heroes is a monument to the great legends of Altador. Twelve enormous statues stand in a circle, King Altador foremost among them. In the back-right corner of the room stands a rather familiar looking Janitor. You approach the janitor. He looks strangely familiar.
Well hello,” he says. “Pretty hall we got here, eh? Lovely statues. Too bad it’s so dimly lit. I think this button here is supposed to do something, but I can’t figure out what.”
Clicking on the button doesn’t seem to do anything except make the Janitor mad.
Step 1: Click The Button AnywayYou Push The Button.
- Nothing appears to happen.
- You approach the janitor. He looks strangely familiar.
I TOLD YOU! It doesn’t do anything!! Why did you push it anyway?! RAARGH!!” The janitor flails his mop around angrily.
Talking to the Archivist suggests he is aware of the button, and he recomends looking for a book.
The archivist says, “Yes, that button in the Hall of Heroes… the janitor has spoken to me about it. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to do, either, or how to fix it… perhaps there’s a book here in the archives that might tell me something.”
The book you are looking for is actually holding up his desk!
Step 2: Click The Book Holding Up His Desk Highlighted In Red In The Picture Above.
The archivist says, “You can’t have that book! I’m using it to stabilise the table.
The archivist says, “Yes, I’m using that book to stabilise this table. The bottom of the table leg is perfectly flat, but it’s exactly three inches short. If only I had something to replace it…”
You now need to find the other new area of Altador, the Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry. This is found by clicking on a tiny little tree at the bottom of Altador. I have highlighted the tree in yellow on this copy of the map:
This quarry, on the edge of Altador, seems to be filled with nothing but perfectly flat rocks.
Two quarry workers argue in the quarry. “It’s a perfectly flat rock quarry!” one shouts. “No, it’s a perfectly flat rock quarry!” shouts the other.
What you are looking for is a three-inch perfectly flat rock.
Step 3: Click The Rock Highlighted In Red In The Picture Above.
- If this step doesn’t work, refresh the quarry page and try again.
- You find a Perfectly Flat Three-Inch Rock. How extraordinary!
- With the Perfectly Flat Three-Inch Rock in hand, go back to the Archivists Office and swap the book for the rock.
Step 4: Return To the Archivists Office and Click the Book Again.
You replace the book with the Perfectly Flat Three-Inch Rock. It’s an exact fit, and the table is completely stable!
The archivist says, “What a fascinating book. It appears to be completely blank, except for a prologue! Why would someone print a mostly blank book?”
The book is now on the examining table (highlighted in red in the picture in red). Clicking on it will allow you to read it. A copy of the book is found on this page by clicking here. If you now return to the Hall of Heroes, the Janitor has had an idea.
You know, maybe the gears have just gotten dirty or seized up, it’s been so long since the button was used. If there were some way to grease the gears, the button might do something again. You will find that you can click on the various statues in the middle of the room. All the statues can be viewed by clicking here.
This is a statue of Jerdana, the Protector. Clicking at the very very top of those statues (as highlighted in red on the picture above) will ‘look up’ to the ceiling. Behind one of the statues you will now find a jar of oil and a rag.
Step 5: Look At All The Statues Until You Find Some Oil.
- Behind the statue’s base, you notice a jar of oil and a rag.
- Take this oil to the Janitor and he will let you oil the button and press it again.
Step 6: Go Back To the Janitor and Press the Button Again.
Oh, you found the oil I use to polish the plaques! Good idea! Maybe it can free up the gears. Go ahead and put some on the button mechanism, and we’ll see what happens.”
You push the button. Suddenly, gears begin to grind, and the great ceiling above you opens up, admitting much more light to the room!
Argh! Now it’s light, and I’ll have to go back to mopping instead of guarding this button! Curse you!” But you think he means “curse you” in a friendly way.
This opened up a set of stairs (highlighted in red above), which lead to an observatory. After climbing hundreds of stairs, you find yourself in some kind of dome-shaped room atop the Hall of Heroes. Also, looking at the ceiling above the statues now shows some gems!
The Archivist has something to say about this too. The archivist says, “Amazing! The ceiling of the Hall of Heroes opened? What a marvel! Perhaps there are some clues about the Book of Ages to be found there.”
The Astronomy Club
On 25th March the flyers in the Altadorian Archives changed slightly to include a flyer for the Astronomy Club: Clicking on the middle flyer will take you to an advertisement for the Astronomy Club.
Step 7: Click On the Middle Flyer to Join the Astronomy Club.
You look at the flyer on the bulletin board. It seems to be advertising an Astronomy Club!
Join the Astronomy Club! With your very own telescope, learn to search the heavens for interesting cosmological phenomena, see ancient nebulae, and identify constellations!”
Hi! We’d be glad to have you in our club!
The president of the Astronomy Club welcomes you warmly. “Our Astronomy Club is growing by the day! Apparently we’re the only club in Altador that’s actually accepting new members at the moment. Click ‘Join the Astronomy Club’ in order to join!
The Astronomy Club is a place where Neopians can learn all about the cosmos. Stars, planets, comets, asteroids, constellations, nebulae… they’re all out there waiting to be discovered.
The president of the Astronomy Club waves as you enter the astronomy lab. “Hey, thanks for coming! We’re really happy you joined the club. In fact, as a new member, we’ve got a special gift for you…”
E-Z See Telescope
…Your very own telescope! It’s just a basic model, but it will let you look up at the stars. You’ll just have to find somewhere reasonably high-altitude to use it. If you now make your way back to the hall of heroes you can climb the stairs up to the observatory. Once there, click the telescope stand to start stargazing!
Step 8: Click the Telescope In the Observatory.
Thats all the steps for now. Meanwhile, the Janitor and the Archivist both have comments to say on your new membership. The janitor says, “Hm, so you joined an Astronomy Club, eh? That sounds like fun. I wish I had the time to join a club.
The archivist says, “Ah, I see you’ve joined the Astronomy Club. Is there more excitement to be found than in observing the heavens, and mapping the intricate patterns of the cosmos?

The Sleeper
On 28th March a new area was discovered… the Restive Tomb.
This tomb stands silent and grave, watching over Altador from high atop a cliff. Clicking on the diagonal lines in the centre of the door reveals a hidden image!
Step 9: Click Here To Visit the Restive Tomb, Then click the Diagonal Lines..
How strange. There seems to be some kind of pattern in the stonework on the front of the tomb doors. What could it mean?
Once you have clicked it, you must return to the Archivist.
Step 10: Click Here To visit the Archivist Again.
The archivist says, “A pattern of two lines, on the front of that old tomb? How intriguing. I wonder what it could refer to? Perhaps there is a matching pair of lines somewhere to be found.
Important: Your starmap will now have changed. If you wish to use a map, you must get the new co-ordinates and then go to boomspeed DOT com/zaniam/theSky DOT html create a new map. This is optional.

Step 11: Click Here To Use the Telescope, the Join Up the Constellation Below and Click Submit.
Click the Submit Button.
Congratulations! You have discovered The Sleeper constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this: The janitor shouts at you, “HEY! Stop leaving the lights on in the observatory! It’s wasteful! I CAN’T STAND WASTEFULNESS!! RAAARGHH!!”
The Astronomy Club members crowd around you as you enter. “Wow! You discovered a new constellation! That’s really awesome, so soon after joining!” They cheer and celebrate, assuring you that you’re destined to be one of the greatest astronomers in Altador, if not all Neopia.
The archivist says, “Extraordinary! You’ve identified a constellation based on the…” He looks around suspiciously, and speaks low. “On the Darkest Faerie? Her eyes, in fact? This… how strange.” He stops for a second, staring blankly. “You know, I’m having the oddest feeling, like this is familiar. There’s something on the tip of my brain, some piece of information… what is it?” He shakes his head. “I just can’t figure it out. Well, perhaps there are other constellations to be found.”
The archivist shuffles over to the Book of Ages and flips it open. “Something else has happened, however, and it might be connected to your discovery of the constellation. A few more pages of the book have magically filled themselves in! It tells a story about the Darkest Faerie herself… from before. Before she turned evil, and betrayed us.
The Gems above the Darkest Faerie statue now glow!
The Book of Ages has also been updated with a new chapter about the Darkest Faerie.
The Dreamer
On 30th March a new area was discovered… the clouds above Altador. Click on the clouds in the top right corner of Altador. Once there, click the gaps in the clouds as highlighted below.
Step 12: Click Here To Visit the Clouds, Then Click the Gaps As Highlighted Below.
The gaps between the clouds seem to have formed themselves into an odd pattern.
You should now return to the Archivist, who now says:
Step 13: Click Here To Visit the Archivist Again.
The archivist says, “Another pattern, floating in the clouds? What wonders you find! Perhaps it corresponds to another constellation. Off to the observatory with you!

Make your way to the telescope. You need to search for the pattern that you saw in the clouds. You are then able to click on the dots and join them up to create the lines. This is what you are looking for – To add the dot at the bottom without making a line, hold your mouse over the red button at the top and choose ‘Add Star’. You can then select the single star.
Congratulations! You have discovered The Dreamer constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this: The janitor says, “Those lights above each statue sure are pretty when they light up. I wonder what they mean?” He shakes his head. “Oh well, too much cleaning to do, no time to figure it out.”
The Astronomy Club members crowd around you as you enter. “ANOTHER constellation? Good grief!” says the club president. “You’re really a great astronomer already! I can’t wait to tell everyone that one of my club members has found two whole constellations!”
The archivist says, “Ah, you found another constellation! Most excellent. And another chapter has appeared in the Book of Ages! This one seems to concern Psellia, also known as the Dreamer.”
The archivist examines some notes on his desk. “I’ve been thinking about what’s going on. Why these clues are revealing themselves to someone such as yourself. And why this did not happen until after the Darkest Faerie was defeated, and her grip on Altador broken.” He shakes his head. “It makes sense, intuitively, but I don’t know what’s going on. I’ve been looking through the Archives, trying to find something in our histories that could explain this, but I’ve been having trouble even finding the histories in all this mess.” He shakes his head. “I’ll get this place cleaned up one day, I swear… The Gems above the Psellia statue now glow!
The Book of Ages has also been updated with a new chapter.
The First To Rise
On 1st April a new constellation was found. To find it, first make your way back to the Restive Tomb and click the pixel in the lower-left corner.
Step 15: Click Here To Visit the Tomb, Then Click the Pixel In the Bottom Left Corner.
Windows users who have difficulty finding this may instead be able to press tab three times and then press enter.
You turn around and see a breathtaking view of Altador. The sun, low on the horizon, seems to be shining through the tower of the Hall of Heroes.
You should then return to the Hall of Heroes and visit the Statue of Sasha, the Dancer. If you look at the room as a clock, her statue is at 11 o’clock. Click the window behind Sasha.
Step 16: Click Here To Visit Sasha’s Statue, Then Click the Window.

Congratulations! You have discovered The First to Rise constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this: The janitor shouts, “HEY! What’s the big idea putting your grubby hands all over the windowsill?! I have to clean those things, you know! Were you raised in a barn?!”
The Astronomy Club members once again cheer as you enter the room. The president walks up, a smile plastered across his face. “Gosh, it’s really great how you’re finding all these constellations so fast. I really wish I knew how you did it.” The smile is not in his eyes, though.
Nevertheless, he withdraws a small item from his robes. “Well, uh, anyway… I suppose you should have this, now that you’re obviously a full-fledged astronomer.”
Step 20: Click Here To Visit The Astronomy Club and Get Your Badge.

The archivist says, “Ah, Siyana. The First to Rise, as she is called. How fitting that her constellation should be revealed by the rising sun.”
He chuckles. “I’m afraid I haven’t much more to tell you about why this is all happening, though perhaps we can learn from what I haven’t found. You see, I’ve gone through the entire archives twice — and I can’t find a single history book. I can’t fathom there being thieves in Altador interested solely in history books, though…” He shakes his head. “But I’ll keep looking, and see what I can find.”
The archivist clears his throat. “Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I’ve made up a list for you here.

The Farmer
On 4th April a new area was discovered… the Old Follies Farm. Click on the building just outside of Altador. Once there, click the entrance to his barn as highlighted below.
Step 21: Click Here To Go To the Farm, Then Click the Windmill Door.
This is one of Altador’s oldest farms, owned by Farmer Follies and his family.
Farmer Follies eyes you as you approach. “Well howdy there,” he says. “You’re from the city, eh? I’ve got a ninth cousin there, works as a janitor, maybe you know him.
Once there, click on the lever highlighted below.
Step 22: Click the Lever.
This old windmill is how Farmer Follies turns wheat into grain.
You should now click on the window highlighted below.
Step 23: Click the Window.
You try to force the windmill’s blades to turn, in an attempt to blow excess wheat away from the field.
Farmer Follies runs into the windmill, shouting at you. “WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!” He slaps your hand away from the windmill machinery.
Click on one of the lumps of grass.
Step 24: Click A Pile Of Grass.
- This will highlight your next constellation.
- The wheat field seems to have revealed a strange pattern among its stalks…
- You should now return to the Archivist, who now says:
Step 25: Click HereTo Visit the Archivist Again.
The archivist says, “A clue revealing itself in a pattern of wheat in a field? Remarkable! There must be strong magics afoot indeed, if these clues can be found in such subtle and unexpected places.
Important: Your starmap will now have changed. If you wish to use a map, you must get the new co-ordinates and then go to boomspeed DOT com/zaniam/theSky DOT html create a new map. This is optional.

Congratulations! You have discovered The Farmer constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this:
The janitor says, “It sure is interesting watching those lights on the ceiling light up. What are you getting up to in that observatory, anyway?”
The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room… except the club president, who seems a little upset. “Okay, we get it, you’re a great astronomer. I mean, four constellations? So quickly? That’s just… Are you sure you aren’t… cheating, somehow? How could you know so much about the sky, when we’ve lived here all our lives and never been able to find any constellations?” he grumps.
The archivist says, “Ah, yes, a constellation representing Florin, the great Farmer of Altador. Truly, our land has flourished because of his wise oversight in bringing us foodstuffs.”
He turns away and coughs gently. “Um… it seems that I’m still having trouble finding any history books in the Archives. I’m beginning to suspect that some magic might be involved. But such magics do not bear the stain of the Darkest Faerie; I do not believe the missing history books are her doing. I think I shall investigate and see if any other history books can be found within Altador. The Archives are not the only store of knowledge here — merely the largest, and most impressive!

The Dancer
On 6th April a new clubopened in the Altadorian Archives… the Disco Club. Click the on the right.
Step 27: Click Here To Visit the Dance Club, and Then Click the Highlighted Dot.
Join the Dance Club! Learn to glide across the dance floor and impress all your friends with your funky style!”
Maybe now I’ll get some people to join my club!” He looks at you as you enter. “You again?! I don’t want the likes of you in my club!
Oh dear! Despite the flyer, it seems that the Dance Club isn’t accepting new members at the moment.
If you click the highlighted dot, you will discover a new constellation. There seems to be a regular pattern of lights reflecting off the disco ball…
You should now return to the Archivist, who now says: “Ah, another clue? Right here in our very own Archives? And in some kind of underground dancing establishment operating on the premises?! Who authorised that? Go, find that constellation, I’ve got to deal with these hooligans.
Step 28: Click Here To Visit the Archivist Again.

Make your way to the telescope. You need to search for the pattern that you saw at the Disco Club. You are then able to click on the dots and join them up to create the lines. This is what you are looking for:
Congratulations! You have discovered The Dancer constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this:
The janitor shouts, “My favorite underground dance club got closed down by that stinkin’ Archivist! GRAARGH, THAT MAKES ME SO ANGRY!!!” He hurls his mop to the floor and stamps his feet.
The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room… except the club president, who seems increasingly upset. In fact, he only looks at you for a moment as you enter, then looks away.
Another of the club members, a Korbat, approaches you. “Hi there… I just wanted to say, don’t worry about the president, he’s just in a little snit because you’re such a good astronomer. We know that we shouldn’t take it personally.” The Korbat looks over his shoulder at the president. “Although when you’re not around, he’s always bragging about how his club members are so great, and it’s because of his leadership that you’re finding all these constellations…” He shakes his head and returns to his telescope.
The archivist says, “There, those dancing ruffians have been taken care of. By sheer coincidence, the leader of their little gang looks just like the nice boy who runs all those clubs here in the Archives.” He shakes his head. “Kids these days.”
He claps his hands. “Anyway! On to business. I see you’ve found a fifth constellation: Sasha, the Dancer. And of course another chapter has appeared in the Book of Ages. We’re drawing ever closer to completing that book.” He shuffles some papers on his desk. “And on that note, it seems that there are no history books to be found within Altador. Not a single one! And what’s worse — nobody can seem to remember any of Altador’s history. Not even me!” He shudders. “So much knowledge, stolen away somehow. We must find out who is responsible and stop them! Altador’s knowledge must be restored!
The Gems above the Sasha statue now glow!
The Book of Ages has also been updated with a new chapter.
The Wave
On 8th April a new area opened in Altador… the Docks. These docks are the basis of Altador’s mighty shipping industry.
If you click the highlighted waves, your new constellation will appear.
Step 30: Click Here To Visit the Docks, and Then Click the Highlighted Waves.
The spray on the waves seems to have formed itself into an unlikely pattern…
You should now return to the Archivist, who now says:
Step 31: Click Here To Visit the Archivist Again.
The archivist says, “And the waves, too, bring us further clues… it seems that this magic is permeating all aspects of Altador. But where does it all lead? We must find out. Go, and find the next constellation!
Important: Your starmap will now have changed. If you wish to use a map, you must get the new co-ordinates and then go to boomspeed DOT com/zaniam/theSky DOT html create a new map. This is optional.

Make your way to the telescope. You need to search for the pattern that you saw in the Ocean. You are then able to click on the dots and join them up to create the lines. This is what you are looking for:
Step 32: Click Here To Use the Telescope, the Join Up the Constellation Below and Click Submit.
Congratulations! You have discovered The Wave constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this: The janitor says, “Ah, you lit up the gems above Marak, the Wave. It’s so soothing going down to the seaside and watching the ocean. Just the thing I need when I descend into uncontrollable rage.”
The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room… except the club president, who ignores you completely.
The other club members come over to you. The Wocky clears her throat. “We just wanted to say that we appreciate all the great work you’re doing for the Astronomy Club. Finding those constellations has really made everyone impressed with us! So, because of that, we got together — except for Mr. Pouty over there –” She glares at the club president. “–and got you this!”
Broken Astrolabe
Step 33: Click Here To Get Your Broken Astrolabe.
The Wocky continues, “Sorry it’s broken, but we don’t have a lot of money. In fact, we found it in the storage closet here… But it’s still a cool little item, isn’t it?”
Please note: This is a real item and can be stolen by the Pant Devil. Please make sure you keep it safe.
The archivist says, “Ah, I should have suspected — Marak, the Wave, revealed by the sea. Excellent work. And as usual, another chapter of heroic deeds has appeared in the book.”
He sits down at his desk and sighs. “This peculiar situation we’re in seems to have created a logical dilemma. I’ve done some research, and examined the nature of the magic involved. It seems that there are two, identical magics present. One is that which has stolen our history, and the other is that which reveals these clues. They are the same magic. And neither magic feels hostile in any way; but nonetheless, whoever has perpetrated these magics has stolen our history from us. That seems to me an unforgivable crime!” He shakes his head sadly.
I’ve also taken a trip to the Hall of Heroes, and looked at the gems embedded in the ceiling above each statue. Half of them are now alight; and it is not unreasonable to guess that we will find more clues, and have the remaining constellations revealed. But in what order? And to what purpose? What is going to be revealed?

The Gladiator
On 12th April a new area opened in Altador… the Colosseum.
Step 35: You’re Going To Have To Read This One. Its A Bit More Complicated Than Previous Ones.
The mighty Colosseum of Altador is an ancient arena that is home to many contests, tournaments, and feats of physical prowess. Click on each of the windows in turn. Eventually you will find a Grarrl. A mysterious figure beckons to you from the shadows…
Psst… hey, you. You look like someone who’d be interested in joining…” He glances around furtively and whispers. “Punch Club. And before you do, you have to remember that the first rule of Punch Club is that you don’t talk about Punch Club… unless someone asks, then you can talk about it. Just don’t bring it up. Unless you overhear someone else talking about it, because, like, they clearly already know about it.” He nods, agreeing with himself. You get the impression that this Grarrl is not entirely stable. Click the ‘Go with him to Punch Club’ button.
In a secluded alley behind the Colosseum are gathered a group of Neopets… This is Punch Club.
Would You Like Some Punch?
Perhaps you should try some punch. You don’t want to be rude. You need to drink the punch three times in the right order to find your next constellation. However, this order is random for everyone. Here are all the possible combinations.
111 211 311
112 212 312
113 213 313
121 221 321
122 222 322
123 223 323
131 231 331
132 232 332
133 233 333
After trying each combination, click on the goblet highlighted below. If it zooms in, move onto the next step. If it doesn’t, try the next combination.
Worked Example
- Following recent confusion, here is an example of how it works:
- The first combination is 111. So I click the bowl on the left three times. I then click the goblet, but nothing happens.
- The next combination is 112. So I click the bowl on the left twice, then the bowl in the middle. I then click the goblet, but nothing happens.
- The next combination is 113. So I click the bowl on the left twice, then the bown on the right. I then click the goblet, but nothing happens.
- The next combination is 121. So I click the bowl on the left, then the bown in the middle, then the bowl on the left again. I then click the goblet, but nothing happens.
- The next combination is 122…. and I carry on like that until eventually I click the goblet and it zooms in.
Click the symbol on the goblet. This will reveal the next constellation.
You should now return to the Archivist.
Step 36: Click Here To Visit the Archivist Again.
Important: Your starmap will now have changed. If you wish to use a map, you must get the new co-ordinates and then go to boomspeed DOT com/zaniam/theSky DOT html create a new map. This is optional. Alternatively this site will find your constellation for you:
EITHER: hacks.atrus.org/neopets/findConstellations.fcgi OR:
pluse.hosting.devilcoderz.com/const/findconst.php
Make your way to the telescope. You need to search for the pattern that you saw on the Goblet. You are then able to click on the dots and join them up to create the lines. This is what you are looking for:
Step 37: Click Here To Use the Telescope, the Join Up the Constellation Below and Click Submit.
Congratulations! You have discovered The Gladiator constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this: The janitor shouts, “Punch Club?! You went to Punch Club without me?! RAARGHHR! I LOVE PUNCH!! I WISH I HAD SOME RIGHT NOW!!!” He foams at the mouth and growls incoherently.
The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room… except the club president, who ignores you completely and mutters imprecations under his breath.
A couple of the other club members–the Wocky and the Korbat–come over to you. They motion you over to a corner of the room. “Listen, we’re all pretty unhappy with how the club president is running this place. I mean, we can do what we want, mostly, but he’s just really grouchy and being a jerk lately. We just wanted to let you know that, um…” She glances around furtively. “He may not be the club president for much longer, if you know what I mean.” She winks meaningfully at you, then goes back to her star charts.
The archivist says, “Ah, of course, I should have recognized it. A shield, for Torakor, the Gladiator. And found at the Colosseum, no less. Of course, the Book of Ages has gained a new chapter.”
Now, this is very important, so pay attention. I’ve delved even deeper into the magics that have stolen our history, and I’ve realised that they seem very familiar. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I’ve definitely seen magic like this before. The problem is that what the magics most remind me of are… well… I don’t know who, specifically, but I believe they are similar to magics wielded by one of the Heroes of Altador. I don’t know who, though; all of the Heroes use magic to some degree or other, and I don’t know if I can identify who, precisely, might have created the magic in question here.”
He sighs. “The problem, of course, is that if one of the Heroes is responsible for the magics that have stolen our history… well, that would be a great tragedy. Imagine! Another betrayer among the ranks of the Heroes! But who could it be?

The Collector
On the 14th April a new clue was released. However, no-one discovered it!
The news of the 17th April said the following: Altador Update! – The Archivist has been expecting a new clue to reveal itself since Friday morning, and is surprised that it hasn’t been found yet. Hopefully someone will discover it soon so we can figure out what exactly is going on in Altador!
Still no-one could work it out, until TNT put this clue up on the webcam:Soon after, it was discovered.
Step 38: You’re Going To Have To Read This One. Its A Bit More Complicated Than Previous Ones.
Your clue is found in one of three of the Altadorian Shops. It is either in Exquisite Ambrosia, Illustrious Weaponry or Magical Marvels. Go to each shop in turn.
Exquisite Ambrosia
- We only sell the most delectable foods fit for heroes.
- Neopian Inflation is currently at 2.77%
- You have 79,315 NP to spend.
You need to make the amount of NP you have match the rate of inflation (ignore the decimal point). So in the example above, you need to put all your neopoints in the bank except 277NP like this:
Exquisite Ambrosia
- We only sell the most delectable foods fit for heroes.
- Neopian Inflation is currently at 2.77%
- You have 277 NP to spend.
If you have picked the correct shop, an item featuring some scales will appear. If the item does not appear, you should try the next shop (but please note, the inflation rate may be different). The item that will appear depends on which shop it is:
Exquisite Ambrosia
- Altadorian Chocolate Coin
- Illustrious Weaponry
- Altadorian Coin Purse
- Magical Marvels
Scales
Once you have found your item, click on it. Please note, you will not actually buy the item, so it will not appear in your inventory.
There appears to be a strange pattern of dots on the side of this chocolate coin… You should now return to the Archivist, who now says:
Step 39: Click Here To Visit the Archivist Again.
The archivist says, “Ah, an item relating to money, with another clue on it… how fascinating. What are the odds of finding such an item, I wonder? Well, off to the observatory with you.
Important: Your starmap will now have changed. If you wish to use a map, you must get the new co-ordinates and then go to boomspeed DOT com/zaniam/theSky DOT html create a new map. This is optional.
Alternatively this site will find your constellation for you:
EITHER: hacks.atrus.org/neopets/findConstellations.fcgi OR:
pluse.hosting.devilcoderz.com/const/findconst.php
Make your way to the telescope. You need to search for the pattern that you saw in the shop. You are then able to click on the dots and join them up to create the lines. This is what you are looking for:
Step 40: Click Here To Use the Telescope, the Join Up the Constellation Below and Click Submit.
Congratulations! You have discovered The Collector constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this: The janitor says, “I’ve been reading this great book, ‘101 Ways to Calm an Infuriated Yurble.’ It has a lot of good ideas for keeping my cool when I get upset about something. Although some of the ideas AREN’T SO GREAT!!” he shouts. “Whew, almost blew my top there.”
The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room… except the club president, who glares daggers at you and growls wordlessly.
The Wocky, Korbat, and Buzz intercept you as soon as you enter. “Look, we’re about to make our move. He’s getting intolerable; he won’t even speak to any of us, he just grunts at us, and that’s only when he bothers to notice that we exist at all. We can’t take this. Just watch for the signal, when we take over the club from him.”
The archivist says, “As I suspected: Gordos, the Collector. There are only a few gems unlit on the ceiling of the Hall of Heroes, so that narrows down which Hero’s constellation is to be found next.”
He coughs. “And in that vein, I’m examining the remaining Heroes, the ones whose gems have not yet been lit. Fauna, the Gatherer; Kelland, the Thief; Jerdana, the Protector; and of course, Altador himself. I am forced to suspect that one of these Heroes may have been the traitor I spoke of before.”
I know it is unthinkable that one of them might have stolen our history, but I see no way around it. Kelland is an obvious suspect; could he have gone back to the thieving ways of his youth? Or perhaps Jerdana’s power has grown to the point where she desires to challenge Altador for the kingdom. Fauna, well, I can’t think of why she would do something like this… maybe beneath her outward appearance of kindness there lurks a heart of malice. And Altador himself, well… it would be unfathomable that he might destroy the history of his own kingdom, but he might have had reason. Shame, perhaps, over letting the Darkest Faerie conquer the kingdom…” He shakes his head sadly. “It is a sudden betrayal that I inevitably curse.

The Thief
On the 20th April a new character appeared in the Altadorian Archives, the Lenny Conundrum Lenny! You should go and visit him. A familiar-looking Lenny beckons you over to the side of the lobby. Hey! It’s that Lenny from the Lenny Conundrum!
Step 41: You’re Going To Have To Read This One. Its A Bit More Complicated Than Previous Ones.
Hey, you! Listen, you know Finneus, the archivist, right? I heard him say you’ve been helping him with some kind of… history puzzle, or something. I don’t know, but anyway. Finneus is my uncle, and I want to give him a special surprise for his birthday, which is coming up soon. It’s the fourteenth day after the square root of the number of Grundos you find in the–er, sorry, nevermind. Force of habit. Anyway, look, here’s what I want to do: He’s got this favourite Meepit plushie of his, yeah? And I want to decorate it all nice for his birthday.”
He grumps. “But I want it to be a surprise! He’s always in that office of his, so I can’t get ahold of it. If I hang around until he turns his back, he’ll get suspicious. But since you’re always in there, you could get it without him noticing. So, can you help me? You should now go back to the Archivists Office. Click on the vase in the corner.
You throw a pebble at the vase. The archivist spins around at the sound of something plinking against the vase. “What? What’s was that? Did you hear something?
You should now click the Meepit Plushie!
The archivist shrugs and turns back around. “Oh well. I’m just hearing things as I get old, I suppose. Say, I wonder where I put that Meepit plushie…Taking this back to the Lenny Conundrum Lenny, you soon discover that it is NOT the one you wanted!
Great, you got the plushie! I–” He looks at it, startled. “Wait a second, this isn’t his favourite Meepit plushie. That one has, uh, um… well…” He scratches his head. “It’s a little different, it’s got a… a thingy… Look, I’ll know it when I see it. You’ve got to go and get his favourite plushie. Hurry! His birthday is only 94 times the number of bolts on the Virtupets Space Station seconds away! Return to the Archivists Office now.
The archivist smiles as you enter. “Well, I had to dip into my stash of extra Meepit plushies to replace the one I lost. Good thing I buy them in bulk! Return to the main Lobby of the Archives, and click the doorhandle to the other door.
This will take you into the depths of the archive. Move from room to room by clicking on the main doors highlighted in yellow below.
Every room you move into, try clicking the smaller door that is highlighted in red. Most rooms you will not be able to open that door, but in one you will.
How interesting… a box of Meepit plushies. This must be where the Archivist keeps getting his replacements! Click on the ‘Hide the Box’ button.
You hide the box of Meepit plushies in another closet. Now the Archivist will never find them! Now return to the Archivist and click on the vase again.
The archivist frowns as you enter. “Hm, I seem to have misplaced my box of replacement Meepit plushies. I only have one other one… my favourite.” He pulls a battered old Meepit plushie from a locked cabinet, and sniffles as he examines it. “This little guy was the first Meepit plushie I ever bought!
Oh no! My favorite Meepit plushie is gone!” He sobs, dismayed. Take the plushie to the Lenny Conundrum Lenny.
Excellent!” he cheers as you bring him Finneus’s favourite Meepit plushie. “This is the real one. Now, let me just put this ribbon on it–” RRRRIP! “Uh oh. Click “Uh Oh?”
Oh no! I tore the Meepit’s head off! Woe!” He looks down at the headless Meepit plushie. “I–hey, what’s this?” He reaches into the plushie and pulls out an old, dull, rusted dagger that was hidden inside the plushie. “Huh, some kind of dagger stored inside the plushie. How weird. Oh well. I guess you better give this plushie back to Finneus. I hope he’s not mad at me! Click on the knife handle that is sticking out of the plushie.
There’s an odd pattern of marks on the dagger the Lenny is examining. You should now return to the Archivist again.
Step 41: Click Here To Visit the Archivist Again.
The archivist sniffles as you enter. “Oh, my poor Meepit plushie! My absolute favorite! But at least my nephew meant well when he destroyed it by accident. And of course, it led to finding a clue! How fortuitous! Well, you best be off to the observatory while I mourn my poor Meepit plushie.

Step 42: Click Here To Use the Telescope, the Join Up the Constellation Below and Click Submit.
Congratulations! You have discovered The Thief constellation. Several other characters have comments to make on this: The janitor hurls a book of Lenny Conundrums to the floor and shouts, “RARRRGHH!! THESE CONUNDRUMS ARE TOO HARD!! I’LL CRUSH THAT LENNY IF I SEE HIM!!”
The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room… except the club president, who grabs a protractor and threatens you with it every time you come near him.
The other club members give you overly casual nods. The Wocky sidles up and whispers, “Don’t worry, we’ll be making our move soon. In the meantime, hang onto this. And don’t ask where I got it.”
The Astronomy Club
The Wocky explains, “Let’s just say it might come in handy later on. Or it might not.” She winks and wanders away.
Please note: This is a real item and can be stolen by the Pant Devil. Please make sure you keep it safe. You CAN equip it to your pet, if not please keep it in your Gallery or SDB. The archivist says, “Naturally, Kelland, the Thief, would have his constellation found on a dagger. Indeed.”
He lets out a sigh. “This would seem to remove Kelland from the list of suspects. It would have made the most sense, ’twere it him, but alas. I still cannot accept that Fauna, Jerdana, or even Altador himself could be responsible for this!” He blinks. “Unless… wait a moment… something is stirring in my memory…” He glances up at the ceiling for a moment, as if peering into the distance. “Ah HA!” he shouts. “Yes, I think I know where to look. This search may bear no fruit, but I must try. I will have to go into the archives for a while. But continue your search; there are only three constellations left to find, and we may not have much time left.

The Gatherer
Go to the Quarry, Farm and Docks. At one of them, you will find a petpet which you should click. This poor little Vaeolus seems to have had his flames extinguished, and has been severely injured!
Perhaps you should take him to the Archivist. He might know what to do. As it suggests, you should take the petpet to the Archivist.
The archivist says, “Oh my! What a poor little Vaeolus! I wonder what happened to his owner. He seems very ill! Clicking on the petpet will let you zoom in.
- Make your way to the Alchemy Club.
- Hmm, so you’re looking for medicine, eh? I’ve got a potion that could help you out… for a price!
Elixir of Petpet Healing 30,000 NP
The quiggle cackles at you and demands 30,000 neopoints for the medicine! What a jerk! Click the potion. You do NOT need 30,000 neopoints, and you will NOT be charged. The Quiggle gives you the potion, and reaches out to take your 30,000 neopoints…
*WHACK!*
The Archivist storms over and swats the Quiggle on the hand. “Hey! No selling of items is allowed in the Archives! Why are you such a troublemaker, anyway?” He mutters angrily and retreats to his office. Click the ‘Continue’ button. Go to the Colosseum and click on all the windows until you find the punch club (same as you did before, however it may have moved).
Click on the Blueberry Pie on the far table. You wander over to the pie table and take some blueberry pie.
Blueberry Pie
Click the ‘Continue’ button.
Make your way to the Restive Tomb. Click on the Wooden Bar holding the door shut. You enter the creepy old tomb…
Oh no! An angry, mummified Gelatinous Non-Cube is roaming around the tomb! Refresh the page at 29 or 59 seconds past the minute. A portion of bandage should come loose. Click it. (If that does not work, try 30 and 00 seconds instead.)
You grab some loose bandages from the mummified Gelatinous Non-Cube!
Mummy Bandages
Click the ‘Continute’ button. Now return to the Archivists Office and click the petpet again. Every minute you should click ‘Check in on the Vaeolus’. Then choose the option depending on the picture.
- If you get this picture, click the wordGive medicine.
- If you get this picture, click the wordWait.
- If you get this picture, click the wordFeed.
If you get this picture, click the wordBandage.
Repeat every minute until on the tenth time the Skeith should appear. If you miss a minute or click the wrong thing, return to the Archivists Office then try again.
CLARIFICATION: You do NOT have to click “Check in” exactly on the minute, instead click a few seconds after. For example…
- At 5:01:05 click check in, and then perform the right action.
- Then at 5:02:47 maybe click check in, and perform the right action.
- Then perhaps at 5:03:21 click check in…
It does NOT have to be exactly on the minute, it should just be once a minute. If you have difficulty with this method, another method is shown here. Please note, I am not responsible for that page. The Vaeolus seems to be feeling better!
A Skeith knocks on the door just then. “Why, hello there!” he says. “I’m from the Petpet Protection League, and I heard you were nursing this poor little creature back to health. Very helpful of you! I’d like to present you with this certificate on behalf of the PPL!”
Click on the image on the certificate. There seems to be a strange pattern in the watermark on this certificate…
You should now return to the Archivist again.
The archivist says, “Ah, the Vaeolus seems to be feeling much better now. He can stay here until he’s ready to leave, of course. I’m sure he’d like to get back to his owner!”
And another clue!” he says. “It seems we draw ever closer to solving this mystery. Quickly, to the observatory!

Congratulations! You Have Discovered The Gatherer Constellation.
Several other characters have comments to make on this: The janitor says, “Wow, it’s getting really bright in here with all these gems lighting up on the ceiling. Only two left! I wonder if anything special happens when all of them are lit up. Now that would be something to see.”
The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room… except the club president, who isn’t here.
The Wocky, Korbat, and Buzz approach. “No, we haven’t gotten rid of him yet. He left just as we were about to take over. We’re gonna wait by the door, and when he comes back in, that’s when we’ll make our move! Get ready!” They hide by the door, waiting for the club president to return… although it could be a few days.
The archivist says, “It was obvious, really — Fauna, the Gatherer, protector of Petpets. How fortunate that you happened upon that wounded Vaeolus. He finished his recovery while you were gone, and left to find his owner.”
He opens a book on his desk to a particular page. “This is an ancient Altadorian spellbook. It doesn’t have any history in it that I could find — no real surprise there — but it does have some magics which might have been used as… parts of a larger spell, I suppose. Now, this evidence is rather circumstantial, but the kinds of magics in this book are about hiding knowledge and erasing memories.” He flips to the inside cover. Some words are hand-written on the front page: This book donated to the Altadorian Archives by Jerdana
He swallows, looks around nervously, and whispers to you. “You must keep this secret! If Jerdana were to hear of this, well — she might kill us, or worse! And that’s assuming she even remembers what happened — she might have made sure that the spell affected her own memory, so that she could honestly deny any knowledge of what she did. At least, until the spell was broken, and then…” He shrugs. “Who knows what machinations she’s planning?” He coughs. “Assuming that Jerdana even is the one behind this. She might just be a pawn of Altador’s, or some other power entirely… We must be vigilant if we are to survive this.”

The Protector
On May 13th a new area opened, the Altador Water Distribution Plant. Click the water tower shown below to go there.
Altador Water Distribution Plant This plant controls the water flow throughout all of Altador. The plant engineers greet you as you enter. Welcome to the Altador Water Distribution Plant! We’re sorry, but the plant isn’t open to the public for tours. You’ll have to arrange something with our Civilian Affairs Office if you’d like to see the inside of the plant.
Go to the Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry and click the path at the back. This leads you to the Altador City Wall.
Click the wall in the space highlighted above and you will be taken to a secret room.
An enormous, spectral Minitheus stands watchful in this secret room, hidden deep within the city wall. Click on the necklace. You are not worthy enough to pass!
The Guardian, though made entirely of ethereal mist, projects a field that forces you back! You cannot approach the pedestal.
Click the ‘Continue’ button, then go to The Old Follies Farm.
Farmer Follies waves as you approach. “Hello there! Are you from the Altadorian Water Department? The irrigation ditches near my farm have been filling up awfully quickly! If the water flow doesn’t slow down, I’m going to lose my crops! FARMING DOES NOT WORK THIS WAY!
Go back to the main Altador map, and click the water tower to go to the Altador Water Distribution Plant.
The plant engineers rush over to you as you enter. “You’ve got to help us!” the Zafara says. “The plant’s gone berserk, it’s routing water every which way. We don’t know how to fix it — the plant was designed by a mad wizard, and he didn’t write any documentation! We’re doomed!”
The Shoyru shakes his head sadly. “I always knew having a mad wizard design our water distribution plant was a bad idea.
There are three rooms to the plant, click on the doors to go between them. The bits you are interested in are the valves and switches.
You can ignore everything else, including the water levels. Simply play around with the switches and valves. Unfortunately, no-one has worked out a proven method yet. What you have to do is play with the switches until you save Altador!
Here is one method that I was told. It appears to work perfectly for some people, but for some other people it doesn’t work at all.
First, put all of the levers up, and all of the wheels in the + position. This will flood Altador.
Now, return to the pipes room. The pipes and levers will now all be in new random postions. Put all of them in the opposite positions of this (click everything in every room once) This willstop the flooding.
If this technique does not work for you, you will just have to keep trying to guess the correct combination.
If you get it wrong, you’ll flood the place. OH NO! You opened too many pumps and valves, and Altador has been completely flooded!
…Or it would have been, if the plant hadn’t been built with automatic safety features that prevent exactly this scenario from occurring. The plant has been reset to the way it was when you started messing with it. Whew!
If that happens, don’t worry. Just keep trying. Eventually you’ll get it right. Its just a case of trial and error.
The engineers cheer. “You did it! The water’s been rerouted properly, and there’ll be no flood.
Make your way back to the The Old Follies Farm.
Farmer Follies cheers as you approach. “Thank you so much for saving my crops! We surely would have drowned in a flood if it hadn’t been for your quick thinking!
Now go back to the Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry, click the path to the wall and click the hidden brick.
The spectral Minitheus steps aside, letting you pass. “You have proven yourself worthy by protecting Altador,” he intones. Click the necklace.
You pick up the necklace, and notice that its shape forms a strange pattern…
You should now return to the Archivist again.
The archivist frowns as you enter. “A necklace on a pedestal? Guarded by a spectral beast of some kind? Surely these are not the tools of someone with nothing to hide. Go, find the next constellation.

The janitor shouts, “HEY!! Why are the lights off?! I was having fun looking at them, all shiny and stuff… RAAARGHH!! IT REALLY MAKES ME ANGRY WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OFF!!”
The Astronomy Club members don’t greet you at all as you enter the room, as they’re hiding behind the door, waiting for the club president to return. And just as he does, they jump him, and a struggle ensues!
The Wocky, Korbat, and Buzz manage to hold the Blumaroo. He seems extremely upset. “Unhand me, you vermin!” he shouts. “You’ll never get away with this! This is my club! Mine!”
The Buzz notices something, and yells. “Look! There’s something sticking out of his toga!” Indeed, there seems to be a little green flap poking out the back of his toga…Click ‘Pull on the flap…’
GASP!!
The Blumaroo’s face is a MASK! You pull it off to reveal that dastardly Quiggle!
The Astronomy Club members gasp in shock. “Goodness! It’s Old Man Withers, from the Herbalism, Mining, Underwater Basket Weaving, Engineering, Alchemy, and Dance Clubs! He must have been trying to subvert the only other club in Altador that actually had any members!”
The Quiggle seethes at you. “And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren’t for you darn kids!”
The Wocky harrumphs. “Well, your evil plan, whatever it is, has been foiled. Off with you! I don’t ever want to see you in here again!” She shoves the Quiggle out the door and slams it behind him. “Good riddance!”
The Wocky turns back to you and nods. “Thanks for your help in getting rid of him. I can’t believe what a sourpuss he turned out to be. Well, the club charter states that the club’s Vice President — that’s me — becomes President in case the President can no longer fulfill his duties. Sorry if you thought that job would go to you, but that’s not how it works.” She shrugs.
He peers out into the lobby, and then softly closes the door. “I don’t know whether you’ve noticed this, but the lights above the statues in the Hall of Heroes are no longer lit. None of them, not even Jerdana’s. From what I gather, this happened about the time that you took that necklace from its pedestal.” He shakes his head. “I’m guessing that the necklace was the power source for the magic that have been providing you with the clues to this puzzle. And, apparently, magically powered the gems in the ceiling of the Hall of Heroes. That accounts for half the mysterious magic, at any rate. The other half, that which has stolen our history, remains as strong as ever.”
He pauses for a moment, listening, and then continues. “I trust that you have kept this to yourself. We must uncover this riddle before Jerdana learns of our efforts. It is our only chance to reverse the effects of the spell, and return our stolen history to us.”
He peeks out the door. “I should do research in the main archives. I left them unlocked once before, by accident, but this time I’ll leave them open for you if you want to wander around.”
The Book of Ages has also been updated with a new chapter.
The library in the archives is open again (where you found the meepit plushies). If you wander around long enough, you might fall into an abyss!
Aaahhhhhh!!
Oh no! You seem to have found your way into some kind of spatial abyss! What a ridiculous feature to build into a library.
Also, you can now go to the statues in the Hall of Heroes. Click on their necks and you will hang the necklace around them. – Jake Bolaski
