The Darblat is a penguin-like species of Petpet. The Darblat is known for the blat like sound that it makes when it is happy. While they look friendly, it's believed to be a front, and are more sinister than they present themselves.
Darblats are introduced in Defenders of Neopia Series 2 (comic 4, pages 3 & 4). According to the comic, they are only found on a small, ice-covered island south of Krawk Island and are ruled by a female blue Krawk named Lady Frostbite. In the comic, she explains her position amongst them to Torchio, one of the DoN members. She claims that the Darblats appointed her "supreme Empress over all their lands" after she washed up on the island as an infant, was nursed back to health, and raised amongst them. She is using them as her evil minions to steal parts for and build a giant snow cone machine which she will use to "create enough shaven ice to cover all of Neopia".

Trivia[edit]
- There is only one Darblat-themed item, the Darblat Racer, an item that mimics the real world Penguin Race Game with small, wheeled penguins which are lifted up a set of stairs and descend a slide track back to the bottom of the stairs.
