A Scarabug

The Scarabug is a Desert Petpet resembling a scarab. They make a loud humming noise and often travel in huge swarms. They were first seen in Neopia on June 5, 2001. They were redesigned on August 10, 2005.

Colours

As of November 2008, the Scarabug can come in 10 different colours:

Blue - Natural Black - August 10, 2005 Brown - August 10, 2005 Fire - August 10, 2005

Green - August 10, 2005 Invisible - November 6, 2008 Pink - August 10, 2005 Red - August 10, 2005

White - August 10, 2005 Yellow - August 10, 2005

Trivia

• August 10, 2005 was Scarabug themed. On that day, 8 of the 9 Scarabug-themed items were released (4 Toys and 4 Petpet Supplies), as was an Avatar, Desktop Background, Shop Blog, and Caption Competition.
• The Scarabug was selected for Week 210 of the Petpet Protection League.
