Lesson 5: Drain Life

Drain Life is currently the most used and abused ability in the game. It would not surprise me if any moment now the Neostaff decided to make this a once per battle ability in the manner of Sink and Burrow. Drain Life essentially takes 11 percent of an opponent’s hit points and transfers them to the caster. It cannot be blocked. It cannot be stopped. Used on weak, it could be done 10 times before the caster ran out of energy. Against higher hit point opponents this can be devastating.

Consider a pet using Drain Life and an Everlasting Crystal Apple (an item that heals for 30 points and can be used round after round and won’t break) against a pet with 300 or so hit points. This means that for the first few rounds that pet is adding an average of 60 points to their health. Their opponent must not only inflict greater damage than that in order to have any impact, but if they fail to produce as much damage as the attacker is generating with their second weapon, they are being out damaged and they will lose. – Jadeasahi

During my many hours of game play, I have at times encountered various hackers and scammers, and usually try to interact with them. Following are various explanations I’ve heard for this behavior, and my response to their justifications.

It’s just a game, its not that important so it shouldn’t bother you too much. This is a common response especially when the subject comes up in Neochat. Yes Neopets is ‘just a game’, and in the overall scheme of life it isn’t important. BUT I’ve placed literally thousands of hours into getting where I am. To have that taken by some cheater would be devastating, just from the time loss alone. Its MY time, not yours, and yes I do care about my time. This ‘its just a game’ doesn’t apply to any game I’ve ever heard of anyway. Say a total stranger purposefully tipped over a chess game you were playing on the street. Your reaction would most likely be to not just shrug and say ‘Oh well, it was just a game’ You’d be upset and with every right.

There are 7 pieces you must bomb in Snow Wars. Different pieces take up different amount of spaces.

I tried many strategies before I found the one that worked for me. I was stuck on level 10 so I finally decided to use statistics. I played 10 games and did screenshots of every game. For every space on the board (there are 48), I did a percentage.

Once I began using the percentages, I did much better and eventually won. You must know that you don’t have to follow the percentages EXACTLY. I usually followed the percentages until I found the two small snowmen, then I used common sense to find the pieces that take up more than one space.

Multiply your score by 100

Type in ‘dieter’ at any point during the game to multiply your score by 100. This can only be used once per game. Note that the score when sent will be divided by 100 again so this secret is more of a novelty secret that has no apparent function. – Sugar

When you start a game, hold down the down key and hold down the space bar. Then when he munches two snow cubes he should be standing. – pijoe

The key to Faerie Racers is strategy

Here are the 3 best winning combos.

At the start of the game (level1), go up and right, forcing your opponent to go down. A lot of the time, your opponent will go in a circle, trapping himself. If not, make sharp turns and go strait across the screen*. He will do more compex and space wasting patterns until he crashes into the wall/his own tail.

Repeat on all levels, but be aware that you don’t run into him at the beginning.

(level 1 only)
Go strait, then up, then left, and then down**.

Opponent will ALWAYS crash (if there’s no interference)! Make sure you don’t run into the wall/your tail.
