Battledome Equipment articles

Some of the Battledome Equipment articles you created may not be notable enough to have their own article, or probably belong to a different article. Will be looking through your edits to make sure. It's good to see you are taking a large interest in this. --Jacob 22:48, 3 Jul 2007 (UTC)

I'm concerned about the number of articles which would be created if we do decided to accpet articles of this type. And HOW they will be presented. Until we have that, i think it would be best to stop creating them, so we can make a proper format. be sure to look at the Template talk:BattleItem as well.

Thus far, the only reason i see for a Battledome Equipment article being notable is if it's used by someone in the Battledome or is given as a prize from a game or plot (like the Dai-scimitar article...i didn't know that's how it was received). Still, how these articles will be displayed is still needed to be decided...or if we should have them. Hoping for some more feedback from one of the other admins. :S Will be doing my part to make the "BattleItem" template better till then. --Jacob 00:06, 4 Jul 2007 (UTC)

The Neodex is not a database of items. Articles can be made denoting types of items and item collections, but not individual items. For example, we have articles on Motes and Snowballs, but not on individual snowballs or on individual motes. There is simply a ridiculously small amount of information to make every single Battledome item worthy of a page.

Another admin has spoken. *bows* Now there is the matter of what Battledome Articles deserve and need creation. there is the Sword of Skardsen for one, which is a hidden tower weapon, and seen in a game, and used by many in the battledome, users and challengers. it's notability is present. but what of other ones? Do we create articles for those which come from the battledome? Where are very popular among users? Those which are seen a lot from different challengers? Perhaps the creation of such articles can be discussed in the community portal or something... *ponders*

Hmmm... In a lot of cases, I think the information would fit better as prose, but... I mean, if you look at, say, Ravenous Monster, the offensive, defensive, and additional details of each of his weapons are displayed quite succinctly without breaking the prose of the article. Mind you, if you were to have an article dedicated to one of those items, and not just a character who happens to use them, I expect you would want more than just a bullet point, wouldn't you? Still, that structure, I think, should be retained for the 'collection' articles.

In my opinion, we should link individual weapons to the IDB instead (if required), unless we really have something more to write about compared to what they have on IDB. Otherwise, I have a feeling that we are just re-inventing the wheel... --SwordFire 16:12, 4 Jul 2007 (UTC)

As you can see, the current style to display Battledome Equipment articles has been decided upon. Feel free to correct the articles which already for the template, and start discussion of batledome equipment articles you think should be placed in the NeoDex. --Jacob 01:09, 12 Aug 2007 (UTC)
