The Tuskaninny is a seal-like Neopet that, in general terms, has an easy-going attitude but can become a fearsome fighter with the right training (and threatening their fish supply). Despite the word tusk in their name, they do not usually possess these large prominent front teeth - the Tyrannian, Mutant, and to a lesser extent, Halloween Tuskaninnies are the exceptions to this rule.
True to Tuskaninnies' fun-loving natures, swimming and basking in the sun are two of their favourite activities. To move about on dry land, it can be assumed that Tuskaninnies either bounce on their tails or drag themselves along the ground using their arms.
In the Neopets Trading Card Game, they are associated with the element of Water.

In the Battledome, Tuskaninnies receive 20% less damage from water attacks. They can learn three species abilities:
