"I've never told anyone this, but Dr. Sloth comes to me for advice."

-Brain Tree, Brain Tree Quests

The Brain Tree sits alone in the Haunted Woods. He is the only tree to have developed intelligence, and he thirsts for knowledge. He will ask visitors to complete a quest for him.

Other than giving out quests, the Brain Tree has also appeared in wide variety of site events, often giving information to use as to how they'll solve puzzles or riddles. He's often compared to The Money Tree, as they're both anthropomorphic Trees with faces.

According to a Neopedia article, the Brain Tree guards the entrance to a secret clearing deep in the Woods that harbours a deadly monster.

Brain Tree Quest

The Brain Tree is always hungry for knowledge. He will ask users who visit him to find out when and where a certain Neopet died: this information can be found by doing quests for other Haunted Woods residents. Originally, this meant doing a quest for Edna and the Esophagor - now the player must do two quests for the Esophagor.

The player is given a time limit to return with the correct answer, and can only attempt the Brain Tree's quest once per day.

Trivia

  • Users participating in the Defenders of Neopia game will receive the following trophy after defeating The Brain Tree from Headquarters. This trophy replaces the previous trophy earned by defeating Meuka.
  • It is also largely theorized that The Brain Tree may be related to the Money Tree, or at least the same 'type' of tree, given the similarities between the two.
