Not Plots?

In recent edits (which i reverted), such wiki links to plots such as NeoQuest I, Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, and Daily Dare were removed by UBracter. I think these were removed because they were believed not to be "plot" plots, i.e. didn't involve an elaborate plot or something (to the eye of the editor at least). However, i do think they constitute plots, as they either tell a story which Neopets characters, involved something different than everyday play or were one time events on the site. --Jacob 18:59, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

I would agree with you on Daily Dare, as it was a one-time, involving feature... However, I am inclined to agree with UBracter on NQI, which is a game, not a plot, and Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, which is completely off-site content... --Macbeth 15:53, 21 May 2007 (CDT)
They are stories which involve neopets characters, which were considered "told" (like other comic based plots) when they were released. If they have a "plot summary", they are a "plot". If an explanation between on and offsite plots are needed (and probably is), then it can be written on the article. --Jacob 00:20, 22 May 2007 (CDT)

I have to disagree... and I know this convo is really old but the description of plot literally says A plot is an on-site activity that tells a story of the Neopets world. Neither The Darkest Faerie nor Neopets: Petpet Adventures - The Wand of Wishing are on site. Additionally, TNT defines plot very specifically to refer to a very limited set of site events. As far as TNT is concerned, only the bold listings on this page are, technically, plots.

Additionally, the New Game Challenge is just games, pure and simple, no story, just prizes for getting certain scores of a newly-released game, so are Petpet park and the Habitarium (which isn't on here but whatever... ). TNT would never define any of these things as plots and neither would most of the players on the site. I really don't feel that the definition of plot applies to these things and I feel that they should be removed.

Everything else is what TNT considers a site event... AC, DD, GMC, etc... even the mini-plots like Disappearance of Krawk Island. These definitions are very structured and agreed on by TNT and most of the Neopian community and I feel that it is important that this site reflect what the actual definition of plot is.

I think that the best solution would be to remove the games and video games... they can have their own pages... and they pretty much all do... maybe give them a category to be a part of or something... throw Treasure Keepers in there, too... Then to separate the list of plots from the list of site events and keep them in chronological order with the recognition that TNT specifically calls some events site events and others plots. -Cath 15:36, 10 November 2011 (CST)
