Neovision Holiday Contest: "My Neopets' Winter Holiday"

Get out your video cameras (or animation programs), it's time for our Neovision Contest Winter Special! We want to see your best Winter Holiday videos. We'll be accepting submissions throughout the month and will announce the winners every week! Winners will receive a shiny trophy, a special item, and 60,000 Neopoints for first place, 30,000 Neopoints for second place, and 15,000 Neopoints for third place. That's a lot of Neopoints... (105,000 Neopoints actually. We can do maths.)

If you have a non-Winter Holiday video to enter, make sure to use the regular Neovision Submission Form!

Contest Rules
Theme: Winter is here, and everyone loves the winter break, right?! Create a Neovision video showing us what happened to your Neopets on Winter Holiday. Where did they go? What did they do? Who did they meet? Neopets, Petpets, and even Site Characters are free to use in your video, but remember: story is key! Don't just show us an activity. We'd like to hear all about your Neopets' winter adventure!

Your video must follow these parameters to qualify:
* Your video must be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes long *before* the credits start to roll. 10-second videos aren't long enough for a plot!
* The credits should not be longer than the video. 15 to 30 seconds is good. We know you wrote, directed, animated, and voiced your video, but it's probably just easier to say "I did everything!" instead of listing them all. :P
* Your video must comply with the Neovision rules below.
Entries will be accepted starting December 3rd and ending at midnight on December 31st. We need time to judge, you know?!

(If you need some inspiration, check out the winners of our last Neovision Holiday Contest: Tricks, Not Treats. That should give you an idea of the quality of videos we're looking for!)

Neovision Rules
Keep in mind these simple rules when you submit your videos for streaming on this site and related sites.

1. Your video must be about Neopia. We know you have a lot of other interests, but we're trained robots. We live and breathe Neopets and we only want to watch videos about Neopets.
2. Remember the audience. All ages and types visit Neopia and so the content must be appropriate for everyone! Anything prohibited on the Neoboards is also prohibited in your videos. Giant Meepits are allowed, though.
3. No faces. Okay, so you're good looking/cute/handsome, etc. So are we - at least as far as robots go. However, this is not the place to launch your acting career.
4. No logos or trademarks of other companies. Even if your video was the best thing we've ever seen - EVER - we'd have to delete it straight away if it contained copyrighted or trademarked material we didn't own. That would make everyone sad.
5. Nothing that identifies where you live on "Earth." No school names, work names, street addresses, town names, etc. - even if you're an adult or your parents say it's okay.
6. Only your own music. If you didn't write and perform the music in your video, don't submit it. We know you're creative and musical and talented, so prove it in your video.

This should be plenty of information to compliment this holiday contest info. --Jacob 05:01, 6 Dec 2007 (UTC)
