Nerkmids are star-shaped coins which are used as a type of currency for the Alien Aisha Vending Machine located in the Neopian Plaza. You can get Nerkmids from other players or by Random Events.

There is a Book titled Nerkmid Mania which is said to contain information on how to get Nerkmids, what price they should be and where to use them. However, reading the book or having it in a users inventory does not effect any of this.
The Vending Machine used to be part of the Neopian Bazaar, but has since moved to the Neopian Plaza when the Neopia Central maps were redone.
