Games Master Challenge 2012

The seventh annual Games Master Challenge began on November 19, 2012 and concluded on November 26, 2012. As with previous events, each day users were given Games Room related challenges to complete. This year, the theme of the event was Pirate vs. Ninja. User could either join Team Pirate, lead by Captain Three Legs, or Team Ninja, lead by the Techo Master. The challenges issued to each user changed depending on which team they joined. The challenges for Team Pirate focused more on action and adventure games, while the challenges for Team Ninja focused more on puzzle and strategy games.

Teams

In order to participate, users were required to join one of the below listed teams. As a reward for joining a team, users were given an exclusive signup bonus including 100 NC and a Wearable based on the corresponding team that they chose.

Team Prizes

By the end of the event, Team Ninja had earned more points than Team Pirate, thus winning the event. All members of Team Ninja were rewarded with a Victory Sign, while all members of Team Pirate received a Defeat Sign as a consolation prize.

Lulu's Masterful Plundering

Lulu's Masterful Plundering was a NC Mall tie-in with the 2012 Games Master Challenge. In this side-event, Lulu sneaked into Master Techo's and Captain Threeleg's rooms and plundered treasure from them. To participate, users had to purchase one of the below Room Keys for 700 NC:

Activating one of these keys allowed users to access either the Techo Master's room or Captain Threeleg's room for the duration of the event. Each day, users with access to a room could visit it and receive a prize related to that room. In order to visit both rooms each day, users needed to purchase and activate both room keys.

Extra Gift

Shortly after the Lulu's Masterful Plundering event ended, The Neopets Team realized that that the Techo Master Cane Sword NC item given out during the event looked almost exactly the same as the Shirasaya Sword Neopoint item that was given out to users who signed up for Team Ninja. TNT thought that this wasn't fair to people who paid NC for room keys, so they later gave every one who had plundered a Techo Master Cane Sword a Tranquil Meditation Bonsai as an extra gift.
