A Mau codestone

A codestone is a special rock that is carved with a specific rune. They first appeared in Neopia as part of the Arrival of Virtupets plot. During this plot, users were implored to bring one million codestones to the Island Mystic so he could decrypt Dr. Sloth's letter. Now a days, codestones are primarily used to pay for training at Techo Master's Training School on Mystery Island.

Obtaining Codestones

Codestones are not sold at any official Neopian shops. Instead, users can obtain them by fighting in the Battledome or by playing Key Quest. Users can also receive codestones from the following three Random Event:

Trivia

  • In the game Codebreakers, the original codestones were shown in multiple colours, in addition to the traditional sandy colour. The only other time this was done was in the old Trophy Cabinet, which displayed a normal, a red, and a purple codestone.
  • The Petpet Rock resembles a codestone when painted Island.
