The Castle Defender is a ghostly Kougra of Meridell who defends the kingdom in times of great need. It was released in the Champions of Meridell plot. It did not appear in Battle for Meridell, although it did appear as a card in an expansion for the Neopets TCG. If it was there during the war, or just an illusion (as the TCG card claims), this is not known. It was a powerful challenger with a difficulty of 850.
