The Elephante is an elephantine Neopet. They were first announced in January 2000 following the Create a Pet Competition. Most Elephantes do not have tusks - only Mutant and Tyrannian Elephantes do. The Elephante's small wings are strong enough to support their weight, but they are not capable of much more than hovering.

Elephantes are mostly docile, generous, and affable Neopets. They can use their trunk to accurately fire small objects like peanuts great distances.

Most Elephantes have a cap on their heads decorated with a large round jewel. In the Neopets Trading Card Game, Elephantes are associated with the element of Air. Elephantes are the 3rd largest neopet.

Battledome

In the Battledome, Elephantes get a 20% natural resistance to Physical attacks. They also have six species abilities:

• Elephante Stomp - Attack: 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 1;
• Elephante Bump - Attack: 2 - 3 x Earth, 1 - 3 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 1;
• Elephante Trumpet - Attack: 2 x Air, 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 10;
• Elephante Shield - Attack: none; Defence: none; available on Elephante Day only;
• Elephante Wallop - Attack: 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available on Elephante Day only, from level 10;
• Elephante Blast - Attack: 2 x Water, 2 x Air; Defence: none; available Elephante Day only, from level 20.

There are also twenty pieces of equipment that can only be used by a Elephante.
