The Underwater Chef is a Flotsam chef who runs the Kitchen Quest. He works as Mumbo Pango's cook on Mystery Island. He is frequently overwhelmed by his workload as Mumbo Pango demands meals every 5 minutes, and seeks help by asking for help finding ingredients in the Kitchen Quest. He stars in the game Island Chef Academy.
The original Underwater Chef used to live in Old Maraqua serving King Koi's Royal Family of Maraqua, for whom she did the original Kitchen Quest, but was replaced by the Flotsam, to Mystery Island with some other Maraquan shopkeepers when Maraqua was destroyed. He has remained on Mystery Island since it has been rebuilt. The original chef appeared to be a shrimp-like creature, not a neopet of course.
