The term Robot was added to Neopets in Arrival of Virtupets, bringing advanced technology and AI to Neopia. Since then, robot Petpets have been released, along with a Lab Ray exclusive colour for Neopets.

Trivia
- In Caption Competition #6, an unknown robot appears in the bottom right corner.
- Users can change the colour of their Neopet to Robot by using a One-Use Robotification Zappermajig item. This item was one of the prizes for participating in the Return of Dr. Sloth plot and cannot be sold or traded.
