The '''Rainbow Fountain''' is "an eternal waterfall of magical Faerieland water!" In some places it appears as a multi-colored river and waterfall, while in others it is simply blue. It currently exists in [[Faerieland]] and is attended by the [[Naia|Fountain Faerie]]. The waters of the fountain, when magical, will paint a [[Neopet]] almost any color. It was introduced in 2001 but its use has changed since that time.

==Current Use==
In its current state, the Rainbow Fountain will paint a user's pet almost any color is only active after a user has completed a [[quest]] for the Fountain Faerie. Fountain Faerie quests are the least common of the random faerie quests, with many users playing for years without receiving one. The item the Fountain Faerie requests is of high [[Item|rarity]] (R 94-96) and, often, expensive. If a user simply visits the fountain without having a quest, they are met with the statement: ''My beautiful fountain is not working :( Unfortunately it seems that too many Neopets have bathed in these magical waters and have used up all the fountain's magical power. Oh well :( Maybe if you come back at another time you will be slightly more lucky!''

If a user gets a quest, their job is to find the item the faerie has requested in either user shops, auctions, or trades, and return with it to the Quest Hut in the Faerie City where they give the item to the faerie. They are then then granted a single use of the Rainbow Fountain. The user can take as long as he or she likes to complete the quest and paint a pet, though the use of the [[Shop Wizard]] is blocked until the user has turned in the item at the Quest Hut. As mentioned earlier, there are certain colors that are not available through the Rainbow Fountain; [[8-Bit]], [[Ice]], [[Magma]], [[MSP]], [[Quiguki]], [[Robot]], [[Royal]], [[Sponge]], and [[Usuki]] are all unavailable, even if the pet species is generally available in that color.

==Original Use==
Originally, the Rainbow Fountain was a reward to users for signing up with sponsors. Doing so would earn them coupons that could be used to paint their pets or change its species. While there were no restrictions on what species or colour your pet could be painted, at this early point in Neopets' history, neither the [[Draik]] nor [[Krawk]] existed and the only colour exclusive to the [[Lab Ray]] was Robot. The Rainbow Fountain was shut down after a few months, as is common for sponsor-related [[Freebie]]s.

==Related Items==
There are eight Rainbow Fountain themed items floating around Neopia. Included among these are two books, a ''Rainbow Fountain Faerie Doll'', a [[Neocash]] background, and a miniature "Rainbow Fountain". The rarest of these items is called ''Flask of Rainbow Fountain Water'' (originally ''Flash of Rainbow Fountain Water''), which can be found while fishing in the [[Underwater Fishing]] caves if a user's pet has a fishing ability above 87. Using it on a pet will randomly paint that pet any colour available for its species (unconfirmed colour results are Invisible, Biscuit, Usuki, Mallow and Zombie).

==Suggestions and Notes==
*Compare the cost of the item needed to complete the quest to the cost of the Paint Brush before deciding to complete the quest.
*A user can paint any of their pets or create a new pet to paint.
*The user's active pet is the one which will be painted.
*Painting a [[Buzz]] any colour will earn a user the Buzzin' [[avatar]].
*There is no time limit to complete the quest but, as with all of the random faerie quests, the user is prevented from utilizing the Shop Wizard until the item is turned in to the Quest Hut or the quest is declined.
*After turning in the item, there is no time limit to paint a pet. If a second Fountain Faerie Quest becomes available, the first use of the fountain must be used ''before'' turning in the item for the second quest.
*Though it is allowed to offer a Fountain Faerie Custom in a pet trade, it is against the rules for one user to paint another user's pet with their quest reward.

'''[[Moltara]] City''' joined in [[Altador Cup V]]. There was a lot of hype for them coming into the Cup, expected to be a serious contender, however it would be an understatement to say they were a huge disappointment. Having never won a single [[Yooyuball]] game, they came in 18th place going into the finals, and stayed that way until the end. Though they may not be the best [[Yooyuball]] squad, they have an undeniable fighting spirit.

Unfortunately, [[Altador Cup VI]] gave no new improvements to the team. However, things were looking up when Moltara went into the consolation bracket with 3 Yooyuball wins, while [[Altador]], the other team in the consolation bracket, had none. However, they lost key games in Yooyuball, winning two and losing two, while Team Altador found an undeniable prowess in Slushie Slinger. As a result, Moltara finished dead last for the second year in a row.

'''Krawk Island's [[Altador Cup|Yooyuball]] team''' is filled with "loveable winners" who have managed to pull together and win most of their matches. Their fans are the most enthusiastic, but due to the team's failures are also the most suffering. It was hoped [[Altador Cup 2006]] would be the year "Ol' Dash and the gang" would take the win, and despite being expected not even to pass Round 1, they continued to play to Round 3.

Led by forward [["Dasher" Soley]] (who has hinted he may retire after the tournament of 2006) and ''Goalkeeper'' [[Garven Hale]] (whose skills allowed them to progress through the tournament), it was hoped [[Altador Cup 2007]] would be another spectacular year, especially with the addition of defenseman [[Zayle Sufhaux]] (who replaced last year's starter, [[Hoke Lemtry]]). Unfortunately they lost to the "underdog" team that was [[Shenkuu]] on the finals, earning them 4th place.

Hoping that [[Altador Cup III]] was finally their year, Krawk Island was surely the favorite to win 2008. The roster was to be the same, and both veterans "Dasher" Soley and Garven Hale were ready to finally win Krawk Island a cup. After a strong stretch all the way to the finals, they only needed to beat [[Shenkuu]] and [[Roo Island]] to win the cup. After beating Shenkuu, which surely was sweet revenge after losing to the previous year's cup, only Roo Island stood on their way to coveted Altador Cup. But another shocking lost(Like the previous before to Shenkuu) paved way to Krawk Island as they lost to Roo Island to earn them 2nd place. The new found rivalry between these two teams has proven to be a great one.

To [[Altador Cup IV]] Krawk Island went, and they were sure ready to finally win a cup as the sole remaining out of the "Original Four" ([[Haunted Woods]], [[Darigan Citadel]], and Roo Island being the others)to not have won yet. Like the previous year, no roster changes appeared in 2009 so it was now or never, cause "Dasher" Soley seem ready to retire soon. As well like the previous, they blazed through to the Finals, with major accomplishments to major disappointments (ie: A sweep from Kreludor) but still earning them a 2nd seed spot through the finals. After quite a major victory from "[[Yooyuball]]" powerhouse, [[Lost Desert]], they only needed to beat [[Shenkuu]] to finally win. The match between Shenkuu and Krawk Island was a sure classic as this two teams had battled it out many times before, with the two major matches before giving way to a win for both teams, so now this was a deciding factor, who would rein supreme. Finally, Krawk Island had done it, with a intense battle between the pirates and ninjas, Krawk Island finally won the match and with it the Altador Cup earning them their first cup.

In [[Altador Cup V]] talk of the "winner's curse" was very common. While some said that Krawk Island won't fall as hard as the others, while others said they'd fall worse. About a month before sign ups, rumors surfaced that [["Dasher" Soley]] had finally retired. And when the rumors were proven true, with Hale becoming team captain, even the Krawk Island supporters were worried. However, when Soley's replacement, [[Feldon "Dinksy" Collibridge]], injured her right leg, Krawk Island had to call Soley out of his retirement for on last season. As all of [[Neopia]] held their breath to see how Dasher's Squad would do, Krawk Island got off to a pedestrian start. Trading wins with losses, they entered the finals in 6th place, though after loosing to [[Virtupets]] they finished the season in 7th.

With "Dasher" Soley retiring after his replacement was okay, [[Feldon "Dinksy" Collibridge]] replaced him. She helped the team get back to its glory and get back to the top tier. They defeated predicted-to-win [[Kreludor]] and fought with [[Virtupets]] for their second chance to get the Cup but slightly fell apart and ended up 2nd. They are the only team that got into the Top 4 5 times.
