Right. I can't bear this, even the stupid white space, but my adblocker currently isn't working right and just...ugh.

Someone tell me how to sign up for premium? Every time I check there are no places, but they must be released somtime. I'm happy to pay just to get rid of these bloody ads, can someone point me in the right direction to do so?

What a complete and total rip off! You get a few thousand neopoints, no top banner ad, webmail, toolbar (which I wouldn't even use), a scratchcard once a week, and an avatar, and the portal thing. Big freakin deal.


The portal thing is just all the stuff you can find on Neopets in one place, plus real world local weather, driving directions, quote of the day, etc. What kid cares about real world stocks, or driving directions? You can find all of that free with a quick google search anyway.


I was considering it if it was cheaper, just for the no top banner ad thing, but for $7.99 a month? No freakin way! They better be offering a lot more for that money or nobody in their right mind will sign up for it.

If you have, please explain to me what they are offering that is worth it to you.

I have no problem paying the 8 bucks a month for Neopets, heck, I pay more a month to play toontown for no rewards.

Honestly, for me it's the fact that I've been loyal to Neopets for so long. I've been playing for over 4 years and never been frozen, and honestly, being an adult, I do like the portal a lot. No banner ads is definatley a plus, and the ability to play games before they come out (I played HatIC for at least a week before release) is a definately a plus.

I guess it's a matter of preference. I don't mind paying the 8 bucks a month for it, some people might have big problems with it. *shrugs* I guess it's all in how you look at it

I personally think that 8 bucks a month is absolutely crazy. But thats probably becuase I'm only 14 years old and haven't even got a job yet.

But even so, to block the ads (coz thats all I'd really use premium for), I wouldn't pay more than say $3. I'd be happy to pay $3, even if it meant taking it out of my pocket money. But not $8. Portal? Who cares? Webmail? Big whoop! All I want is for those awful ads to go away.

I might be moving to Firefox now, sheerly to use Adblock. I don't so much mind the space taken up, as I mind all the flashing colours and moving pictures. They're annoying as heck.

Do you know? Can you access multiple accounts from one Premium account, or would I have to sign up and pay twice to get to my gallery account?

I wish they'd do something that we could pay maybe...$3-5/month to get rid of ads, and only the ads.

Being a poor college student doesn't leave me with much money, or I would go get the entire premium package....but I have too many email accounts, and weather I get from the government website, driving directions from mapquest and other stuff...

$8 bucks a month... Spend that on WoW instead.

You guys say you don't mind paying to play Neopets. That's fine, I would too if the site wasn't free at all. But 8 bucks just to block a few ads is crazy.

I would love it if they made the site 8 bucks a month, it would be worth it to play all the games and stuff. But they aren't offering much for that price right now. The site itself is free.

They should at least add some cool stuff for premium members. Like members only games, sending your score more times, and maybe some features like folders or "bins" to put your SDB stuff in so it stays organized. I would definatly pay for those things, but weather and stock of the day? Come on Neopets, get a little more input from the players!

You reaaaaaally need to get off the Weather and stock of the day thing. Some of us like our Neopets Stocks, Pet stats, Game Scores and things all in one place. Some of us like playing games before everyone else. And now, they are bringing out a customizeable calendar that you can add your own events to as well as see upcoming Neopets events. You say that it's not worth it, I think it is.
