Question on colour-splash RE

Since every pet is vunerable to this RE, I was wondering... does it have the potential to turn your pet into every colour that particular species can be? Even lab-ray only? 'Cause if so, I might have to chnge my active pet. Right now, I've got a Buzz I'm turning Glowing as my active pet, but I recently adopted a Poogle. So, if the CS RE has the potential to turn him into every colour he can become, I might switch him to be active pet. So when the RE occurs, he has a 1/37 chance of turning MSP.

...but remember that you active pet is also exposed to many other REs that you might not want applied to a limited editon like a poogle. I have also only heard of the more common colors happening in this rare RE. Random bit of trivia. This RE was first released in the 2003-06-09 News.

RE's that are bad to an LE pet? Such as?
As for only the more common colours, I think that's one for the editorial.

So long as there aren't any REs that can change a pet's species (and to my limited knowledge, there aren't), I don't see the harm in having an LE as your active pet. o_O

I don't know if that particular RE can change your pet to any color. I thought I'd seen, somewhere, that it only changed your pet to a basic color, but for the life of me I can't remember what put that idea in my head.

Gah! I was thinking of my battle pet and wanting it to be the subject of stat REs and events instead of my poogle. I guess the worse that can happen is that your poogle turns invisible. *POP!*

Indeed, but if that happens I'll just get him extremely angry or sad to get him red or blue. And he'll still be 'vulnerable' to colour-changing events. I guess the worst that can happen is him getting painted such a colour that I would think it a waste to let him be painted any further. Snot, Jelly, Faerie, Royal, Grey,... you know. But yeah, the plan is to shove him under the Ray as soon as I can, so he'll be triple-vulnerable there.
By the way, does anyone know if the rare colours like Snot, Jelly, MSP,... are just Lab-only, and therefore more rare, or even under the Ray more rare to obtain? o_O

I think there's an equal chance for each colour to be picked.
